(Or maybe Uni-Type)

There's a unicorn and a spaceship, and one day...er...they combined forces to do something. And that something was defeat a cross-dimensional evil or something. Yeah, that's right! You are that spaceship/unicorn. Oh, and the unicorn can fly.

Controls

  • Space - flap/shoot
  • WASD - move

Credits

  • Kerrindor: Graphics, music, sound, ~~code~~ bugs

Tech stuff

  • Written in Java using libGDX.

Nice take on the theme! Directly had that "oh so that is how it works" moment. The ending was also a nice surprise  . Great job!

You actually implemented more than one game? That's good progress. I never managed to do more than one game :)

Addicting game! Once I got the hang of what I was doing I couldn't stop playing. Funny concept too! If you wanted to continue working on the idea maybe consider an alert notification before the space ship turns back into the unicorn. There were a few times in my game where I thought I was firing the space ship but I was really sending the unicorn up into outer space really fast. Very fun game and I loved the unique twist on two more classic ideas. Hope you had a fun game jam.

I enjoyed that, a little disorientating at first but I enjoyed both modes and they linked together well for both the theme and for good gameplay. Nice one.

Nice job! I love the idea of swapping between two styles of gameplay and you did it in a very smooth way, the timer helps to know when you'll swap and all the hot air balloons turning into the ships in the same locations is great. I also love the inclusion of a boss to cap it off, nice job!

An interesting idea where the whole game changes every ten seconds. I enjoyed the space part. On the other hand, the part with the unicorn annoyed me a lot, I understand that moving with it is supposed to be more difficult, but it seems to me that the controls could be improved. But when I got back into space, I felt a certain satisfaction

Haha I had to laugh with this one. The contrast between dark space and the colorful unicorn world was a good call. It's a a pretty basic game but I nonetheless enjoyed it. I can imagine both the unicorn and the spaceship having upgrades and it being quite engaging actually. The graphics and the music was also well done. Good job!

I liked how not only the art changed but also the entire theme (rainbow <==> space) and the mechanic (avoid <==> shoot). Looks like you could take it even further and add more minigames to it.
Nice entry overall, and good use of the 10 second theme!

The transition between the two types of gameplay was good, but the hitbox was larger than the sprite of the unicorn which got me a couple of times.
