Z.O.M.B.I.E.S by Nyrh

You are in a graveyard during a dark and spooky night.
Try to kill the most zombies using weapons you will find in the level.
Every 10 seconds, zombies have a chance to rise from the tombs, but weapons have a chance to spawn too, good luck !

Controls : move with shift + zqsd or wasd, space to reset target.
To kill zombies, get a weapon and type the word beneath it.

It feels very polished.
I like the minimalist art style.
I don't know if it was intentional but there are two zip files. A 1.0 and a 1.1, I guessed 1.1 is newer.
I let the 1.0 version to let people try the version they want and see the changes if they wanted to. I'mma try your game, it caught my attention ;)
I know the controls are strange but once you get use to it, you don't even think about it anymore. Happy you liked it <3
Overall it plays real nice, and the church bell for the 10 second mark is great. Only thing I would want to add is maybe the occasional weapon that just has a ton of ammo so I could really knock a whole lot of zombies out before moving again.
Nice work!
Reading the instructions I was confused by why I had to hold shift and how things worked but then things became very obvious.
I REALLY enjoyed this concept.
My frustration came in trying to find guns/ammo on top of the typing and whatnot. I'm fairly quick at the typing so I was EXCITED for this. I did feel a little bit let down though when it ended up feeling a bit more like a herd-the-zombies and run out of bullets within 3 seconds. Just a few too many things in the air to get a real good balance on within the short confines of a game jam.
That being said, you had me completely enchanted and my partner even stopped to watch.
It's hard to believe something this awesome could be done in the length of a jam but you did it! Amazing art style, the sound was beautiful, and the game mechanism wasn't overly simplistic.
Given more time, with some balancing, this could become a terrifyingly addictive game.
Thank you for saying that, I'm really glad you liked it :)
Overall I had a lot of fun with this! I love the way the different weapons change how you play & strategise, and getting multiple kills at once is really satisfying!
