You're Furnished! The 10-Second Movers by Xenith
Playable on itch: https://rad-house-games.itch.io/youre-furnished-the-10-second-movers
In You're Furnished!, you play as Alli, a new employee of furnishing company ADG Movers. What sets them apart from the competition is their rapid-fire furnishing, with a questionable slogan of "One piece of furniture every 10 seconds, or your money back!"
5 different randomly-chosen houses to furnish, with over 25 different pieces of furniture!
You can only pick-up and place a piece of furniture once, so you have to be quick and decisive with your placing. Place similar items in the same room for a score bonus but watch out for pieces which don't go together - for example don't put a bin next to a bed!
Controls:
WASD - Move SPACE - Grab/Drop H - Help/Pause
We only used about 30-40 hours of the 72, so the game wasn't extensively tested!

Either way, this is really impressive for not even using the full time.
Anyway, I loved the idea. It's silly and fun and the choice of music fits very well with the hectic gameplay. Bravo to the team! <3
The concept is really cool and deserves to be expanded upon! Also the art and music were stellar, and for some reason gave me some serious game boy Pokémon TCG nostalgia vibes.
Congrats for the submission!
With that said, overall, I really did like it! Good job all of you, keep it up!
Great game with a lot a good idea for the theme. The 10 seconds did make sense in the universe of the game.
For the idea : Why not. But it doesn't work. I guess it's because you had not the time, but in this state, I stopped the game really quick. You seem prisonner of the theme. One object every 10s imply the game won't become harder. And because it's 10s, you have a big house, it's long, and I think you may play hours before the game ends (When you entirely fill the house. And when you will have only the first rooms, you will wait most of the time). Or when you want to stop and wait a long time until there is no more room outside.
You would need more features, or anything which changes something on the house. Because now, it's "I take a thing, I go in a distance room, I go back, nothing changes".

I just read the description and I see a rules which is not explained in the game : You can gain more points with specific rules. But because the game seems to be almost infinite, I don't need points. And I can't be sure about what I wouldn't do for the score.
I am sure you were short of time. I am sure you certainly know some of my points, but I comment the current game. It is still a real project with menu, how to play, music, graphics, etc. Very nice music and design, by the way (Especially the title screen).
We did find the theme constraining, and nearly reduced the timer by ~50% to get a more frantic feel.
In fact most of this testing was in a reduced timer state, and we likely overcorrected the other way in making the game easier. Making multi tile objects rarer, and making it possible to walk through certain objects,
Your comment about the points feeling unimportant and being unobvious without reading instructions outside the game is incredibly helpful. They are meant to be a primary focus (in encouraging you to make a nice looking house) but in the current state feel like an afterthought.
