Tetris with some spicy twist.

My line piece turned into a bomb :sob: :laughing:. Loved the music and graphics. An interesting take on the old classic. Added some decisions about whether to trigger the "upgrade" on the current block, or rush it and do it on the next.

It is always interesting when a classic like Tetris is taken and given a new form in these jams. The changes are not drastic but just enough that it feels like its own game. The music is great too!

I actually run to a bug where the game was not able to proceed. One red block went through the level and after that I never got a new block.


Other than that, a really solid jam entry! Good work!

@nash Thank you for playing and for a bug report too! I had to QA team to test in through in such short time span, but I'll try to fix it after jam ends for sure.

It doesn't load on MacOs 12.5/chrome... I got this message in the console :

I used the on-screen keyboard as I didn't have arrow keys, but it was still fun to play with it. I loved the animation for destroying the blocks and a nice twist to Tetris.

Really cool take on Tetris! The particle effect for the bomb was really cool. Overall really addicting and a great game!

Nice tetris version. The only thing i didnt like is that the background has a different tile-size than the blocks, which hinders me aligning the blocks correclty. Still a fun game, well done!

Some ideas:
Add an easy and hard mode.
Easy mode is for people who suck a Tetris (like me)
In this mode all the random things are kinda in your favour, making it easier for you to fill out rows.

Normal mode is just like you had it.

And hard mode is the opposite of easy, purposefully trying to make it harder

@dhim for me it loads on M1 MacBook Air, MacOS 13 Beta and Safari.

Maybe try it again with Safari?

my first thought was "was, that's literally just tetris" but the more i played the more the game introduced new mechanics, i liked it, didnt get a high score from my pultiple attempts tho ahah
