Great idea of a game mechanic, good job on your entry and first game jam! I found the first level quite dificult at first but was pretty nice once I got the hang of it. It definitely needs a tutorial so people can better enjoy your game!

It is a good game but you shouldn't punish player so much when he dies from his child. Maybe just 2 seconds stun will be better. I am afraid some people will die and immediately leave after just 10 seconds of playing.

Very innovative take on the theme!

I enjoyed the main idea behind the mechanics, although I did less enjoy finding it difficult to tell how far away from the explosion I have to stand in order to survive. I dead a couple times not because I didn't have enough time to run away, but because I couldn't tell how far away I had to stand (and sometimes it is quite difficult to properly set up the distance, due to the son running towards me when I go too far away).

@beetlebox Perhaps I should mention that I was partly inspired to make this game by my childhood experience at Chinese New Year. At that time I really enjoyed lighting a firecracker in my hand and then throwing it just as it was about to explode so it could go off in the air (which of course was dangerous and I haven't done it since one had exploded in my hand). Since the kid can't walk towards you until he first hits the ground after you throw it, throwing the kid until the timer counts to 10 is a trick I really like to use. Maybe I should have done more tips in the game

Great entry! Although a bit difficult... Reminds me of my first jam. The control feels a bit weird, probably because the character moves too fast. 不过你把这些梗放到ld这里外国人估计也不懂23333

Awesome Game. Enjoyed the overall concept and gameplay. really enjoyed the 10 seconds factor you imlemented in the game. A little more work from the SFX sides would have done wonder. But still a great job keep it up. Please do check out my submission as well.

Mechanics are good!

This game was really fun to play! I love the story and why the son explodes every 10 seconds. There was certainly a level of difficulty that made this a challenge, but not _too_ challenging to seem impossible.

I would probably play this again.
