Kalamity Kitchen by R3D3R
During the lunch rush, a pizza chef must fulfil all customer orders within a certain timeframe.
However, the chef gets struck with a buff or a nerf every 10 seconds in this magical and somewhat cursed kitchen, either raising the difficulty of the objective or granting temporary aid.

Kalamity Kitchen is finished!
Here's a sample of our hard work of our game.
For the time being, certain areas require refining, but that will be addressed later.
This was a lot of fun! I hope you all had a great time! Come try your luck and culinary abilities as a Pizzaiolo! After finishing all of your requests, please share your hard work and skill ratings! :sunglasses:

Complete all your orders and post your results in the comment! :D

Please welcome our Pizzaiolo (Pizza Chef), [Name Pending].
We're having trouble coming up with a name that isn't too generic.
Like Mario...
Please post your suggestions in the comments section.

NEW UPDATE: I have implemented a sound bar where you can control the volume of Kalamity kitchen. Please use the most recent version:D Thank you for playing Kalamity Kitchen! :D
UPDATE: Soooooo... I didn't see a BUG for the "Faster Preparation" Blessing and "Slow Preparation" Curse. It has no impact on the preparation at all. I corrected it, and it now it works.
UPDATE: There has been an update. We have added a tutorial to avoid confusion!

I loved the art and the animations, very amusing!
Well done!

Your arts look nice though!

The fast paced music also really sets the mood.
That being said, it didn't feel like a game in any real sense because I didn't feel rewarded or punished for the performance of my character. It also felt lacking in interaction. I'm not sure if I'm missing something but it felt like the task was to click on the pizza in the top left, then click the rolling pin, wait, click the ingredients, wait, click the oven, wait, click the thingy in front of the rolling pin, wait... and repeat. So it ended up making the 10 second buff/curse feel pointless.
That is something that can easily be managed at a later time, though.
As I said above, the game is GORGEOUS. Way beyond what I could ever expect from a game jam.
One quick note/aside: when uploading files for others to download, it can help us *a lot* if you include the title of your game in the filename. I have a lot of files labelled something along the lines of "LDJAM51" and so it gets tricky fast when reviewing to know which file to open.
Overall though - well done and thank you for the dose of art. <3
Oh no, would you mind providing your stats once you've fulfilled all orders?:D
Thank you for bringing this to our attention; we will rename them accordingly. B)
Which version of Kalamity Kitchen did you use? :D
PS: latest Version 0.03

I enjoyed the background music, but since you opted out for audio, I think you didn't make the music yourself? Perhaps you could you provide some credits?
Although I played both the original and version 3, I found that it was a bit unclear how to start a new pizza.. Some feedback would be nice if a player clicks on an order. Also I didn't understand what the rectangular thing was in the bottom left.
I liked the idea of being blessed or cursed every 10 seconds and the different variations, but I felt like I didn't have options to react to it. This made the game too repetitive. For example, if I was cursed by slow walking speed, I would like to be able to choose to prepare a pile of ingredients for several pizzas in stead of walking.
The graphics are very nice, and with the curses and blessings it certainly has potential. Keep up the good work!
This was my final score, although I don't know what it all means.

The gameplay could be improved by maybe having different pizza recipes, where a player would have to choose proper ingredients. Right now, you just keep clicking on the same things in the same order all the time, and after a while it just gets old.
Blessings and curses are a great idea! Would be even better if the player could do something about them, interact with them somehow, react to them or adjust his gameplay to fit them. They are a fun concept, but they are also passive. Sort of like the weather  - you don't really even have to pay attention to what curse/blessing you get, as you can't do much about it anyway.
It's a very nice concept and an interesting interpretation of the theme. Great work!
Maybe Massimo for the name of the chef :smiley_cat:?
