Sergeant "Giles de la Turret" by CoOz
You're the sergeant "Giles de la Turret" and you're protecting our fareway advanced military base on the planet Mars.

I swear there is a LOT of "every 10s" intervals inside the game! Not as much as I would have liked but hey i had fun building it! :v:
Sound design is important but it doesn't seems to work on the wasm version  Try the executable one to enjoy the sounds!

I would have loved more features and be able to see what the martians look like ;)
Quite a nice game, You can feel an overwhelming number of enemies. You would be nice if it was possible to defend against monsters for little longer, because from the starts it feels like not much can be done to protect military base.
Also it was a little strange that as the enemies got closer, the bullets still took the same amount of time to reach the ground. I figured there would be some gradient where shooting at the base of the mountain had a long travel time, and shooting closer would have less travel time.
Pros:
- I really like the 'realism' you tried going for with the firing mechanism and the tracers, including bullet drop
- SFX is a blast
- Easy to learn
- I actually liked the graphics used here
Cons:
- The actual aiming is a tight strange, seems like it does not belong to this type of game (kinda arcade-ish vs realism discussion here)
- Wish the targets were a bit larger
- Hard to do anything from the beggining until the enemies starts pouring some mid-range
A good effort overall!
