my god this was such a blast! the game kept me at my toes the entire time I love it!!
I also really love the idea and art style (including the "no" head animation lol). really well done I love this entry
Anyway one of the best game I've tested. Good job
@frederoxdev @gorr @rogueagente - these are great ideas, we'll definitely work on getting better controls on accessing the inventory in future updates
@caerul @lukas-ip - props to @bluepir <3
@fastandblast - another awesome idea, we're thinking of showing a description on hover for each of the seed pouches
@brandsma - would love to hear more about your idea, if you'd like to join our discord and explain more feel free ~ https://discord.gg/PXKFmrYV
@rubinshki - yeah that's a good point, we really should support other keyboards ~ next time
@lepoulet - eyyy great minds or somethin'
The only criticism I have is similar to what many others have said, the control scheme could use some work. Perhaps allowing the user to hotkey the various items and another key to plant on the tile they are standing on.
Otherwise, a great game. Good job friend :)
I recorded myself playing for even more feedback:

Not sure I felt the sezonial restrictions as everything I've planted worked so far.
Also, the $400 penalty a year is surprisingly easy to overcome. So much so I had to test it by waiting it out to confirm that the farm DID lose money after a while. So... mostly a balance issue, but it's nice that it's in the player's favor at least.
I dig this entry!
I think having some keyboard controls would be nice here. Like an ability to choose the items from your quickbar with number keys and perform actions with Enter or Space.
After I took my steps outside, the game became a lot more fun. I will also say that I am very biased towards farming games because I LOVE them, but this seems like a really solid game! The graphics are wonderful, and I feel encouraged to find the most optimal number of plants to plant based on grow time and season.
I appreciate the easy menu layout and that you can scroll through tools - even more so if there's a way to make the scrolling more sensitive. I also think scaling the penalty up and charging for seeds would add to the challenge. This game I played the other day has a similar concept, but you can check out some of their scaling difficulty if you want: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/51/frantic-farmer
Awesome entry, and great job!

Was this game a fun treat, a 'speed farming sim'. About everything about the game just felt cozy. Also, comparing the score above, more points on plants planted is a good balance.
Only feedback I'd give is to allow the option of full keyboard support.
The tutorial at the start of the game is great at explaining everything, I never felt lost while playing, but the scores are difficult to compare because of how the money from the greenhouse isn't reset when the game starts for real.
I found that if I moved and clicked at the right frequency I could skip the animations and get a lot more planted and harvested in less time, not sure if that's intended or not.
Overall the game was fun and well polished, you did a great job!
