A game about burning out. You play a lone firefighter trying to stop a blaze from overtaking a factory. The only issue is there are furnaces constantly catching ablaze, and without you they'll that the whole building down! How long can you survive the blazing inferno?

For the theme, every 10 seconds another furnace catches fire, which degrades the blue bar faster (facility health). The blue bar resets every level, your health does not. There are 3 levels, but the game loops endlessly with more enemies spawning in over time.

Controls: - WASD/Arrow keys - movement - Mouse - point to aim, click to shoot - M - mute music - N - mute sound effects - Esc - pause

I unfortunately used "XMLHttpRequest" to handle external files (namely 3d model files), so despite being a browser game, it doesn't embed on here. I've linked the Itch page where it should run properly in browser.

Performance is also poor in Firefox. If you're distracted by the frame rate, Chrome & Edge run it far better.

Overall good; aiming was a bit difficult and seemed a bit slow.

I wish enemies were more of a threat beyond just existing; perhaps they could be the thing that lights the furnaces, instead of it happening randomly? Might give me a reason to prioritize them.

Once I hit level 2, I found enemies would spawn on top of me sometimes, which caused me to take an unavoidable hit.

Certain angles don't seem to line up with the mouse. I noticed the most when shooting the lower right end of the screen. Combined with the slow projectile speed, I'd often spend multiple seconds shooting the wrong spot before I got the feedback needed to correct.

Movement feels a bit floaty. Reducing the deceleration time would probably make the movement feel more responsive and snappier.

As others have mentioned, the gameplay in general feels a bit on the slower side. I think it'd be worth experimenting with faster kill times and more enemies.

That all said, I didn't hit any showstoppers and the game was easy to understand and fun.

Nice work!

Wonderful game! I like the sound and the concept. It's interesting to put out the flames of all kinds! I like it ^_^ My score is 3300

Pretty neat! i liked the camera shake on putting out the flames. I think an additonal effect when the water hits the flames would help feel like the water was more effective, most of the time i wasn't sure i was hitting it/doing anything.

I thought the fire visuals were unique! Im not sure i've seen it done that way before and it really worked for me.

Additional fire orbs spawning at once would have really heightened the tension but overall not too bad!

Nice game! Though I feel like it's too difficult. The enemy moves and shoots fast, has very thick health bar, and the bullets moves fast, sometimes impossible to dodge. Not to mention that they often spawn near the player. However, the effects feel great. fantastic visuals!

I think the general gameplay speed was fine but the levels themselves maybe take too long to clear. A light jam game might benefit from a faster pace.

Decent, if basic, arena shooter. Graphics are okay, the music is nice, but the lack of sound effects takes all the impact out of the gameplay. Enemies feel maybe a bit too tanky.

Now that's some aggressive fires :D The core gameplay works fine but I hit the same things some others in the comments where sometimes in level 2 the fires spawn on top of you and the aiming being a bit off from the mouse.

Also hats off for building the game in JS+WebGL with no engine, not even THREE.js, the initial load is super fast!

the idea is good, but i found the controls a bit difficult (hard to aim, and the water doesn't always go where i think it should go). overall, i had some nice minutes playing your game, good job and congrats for your entry!

I enjoyed it. I had some issues with enemies spawning on top of my guy a bunch though. I think the music was nice, and it set the chaotic mood. Nice work.
