Switch between procedurally generated beats (https://g808.co/) every 10 seconds.

Running in FULLSCREEN is highly recommended. (Sometimes you'll need to scroll the game window at the bottom-right corner to find the full screen button).

  • Press ENTER, SPACE or click the big green button to start the game.

  • Use ARROW or WASD keys to follow the beats (no controller support, sorry).

  • Press ESC key to quit your game.

When the Green bar fills up, tempo speeds up by 30 bpm at the 10 seconds mark. When the Red bar fills up, game ends at the 10 seconds mark. Try to get your biggest score yet! Beware of the tempo switches!

This is really innovative, super polished, and the music is awesome. Great entry! :thumbsup:

I'm probably just bad at it, but I think I'd have had even *more* fun if the prompts were a little more forgiving. I didn't get to spend a lot of time with a green bar.

@pennycook there is a thick to it. It takes a few games to master. All you need to know is that you can press the arrow before it hits, not after.

@stoickekis - Ohhhhh. I think you should put that in the introduction here, because that made a huge difference. I made it to about 66,000 points and 150 BPM the second time around.

I reached 61528, but the density of the arrows just went through the roof and I couldn't keep up. I think 180 bpm is the mark. Felt a little sudden for a difficulty spike, but I'm not a rhythm guy. Didn't like the feeling of when the arrows could be pressed. I think that something that says how you did compared to the ideal timing would be nice after each button press. Despite that, I had fun, the music was nice, and the game looked nice.

Nice, using proc gen music. I like the tempo switching as a use of theme. I found that the prompts didn't matter, I could just tap all the directions at once with seemingly no penalty as long as I was on time :wink:

Got to 45166, at that point it felt like I could never catch up to the current arrows, and it felt like I had to preempt the arrows by quite a bit. Maybe that's just me being slow though. The changing beats were a nice touch!

This is great ^^ I'm too embarrassed to share my score though :') the audio is excellent!
Even though I'm not as good as others here I enjoyed playing a lot.

In my best run I got to 72721 and 180bpm before I got outgrooved by the arrows.

But yeah a super fun game, you can really feel a sense of progression playing multiple rounds after each other, getting more into the rhythm with every game and getting a feel for the different beats. Very cool idea and great implementation of it.

I got to 86000 points and a bit over 200bpm, at that tempo it was really hard making out if some arrows should be held together or separate. You could increase the speed (and by that separating) of the arrows as the tempo goes up to make it clearer. Nice work though, I liked it!

What a jam really good into a good groove after a while then suddenly the difficulty spiked and I fell out of it. The changing styles were cool kept it feeling fresh.

Really cool that you were able to incorporate procedurally generated beats into this game :sunglasses: . Took me a bit to correctly time the notes, but after 150 bpm (I think) the difficulty ramped really hard on me and I died really quick. Luckily I had some beats to jam to :smile: .

Great job, keep it up!

I love rhythm games and this was super fun to play! It was a really nice game, looked good and worked well. My only feedback would be that there seemed to only be forgiveness if you pressed the buttons too early and absolutely no forgiveness for pressing a bit too late which forced me to just mentally note that I always try and press early, making that even would have been nice.
