I like the strict color palette of the game!
very well made game

It is challenging to go back and forth and I felt the adrenaline of an older time when I too balance working and playing although as it was on the same computer a simpler alt+tab was enough!

I love the look of this game! Also a great interpretation of the theme, I really enjoyed it. Not necessarily a gameplay critique, but the instructions could be written a bit more clearly (maybe separating the controls?).

Nice take on the theme! That dang chair in the middle of the room I keep tripping on... I hate it but I love it  Great job!

I resonate with this game. Well done. I was confused when the timer disappeared, I thought maybe it was a bug but I read now that's just a difficulty ramp.

Haha this is awesome! It's my real life when I was a teenager :joy: Wonderful to be grown up, isn't it? I love how you've made the player (me) feeling nervous. It reminds me that I used to put my toe on the switch so that when I hear the movement outside my room, I can switch off everything in a second.

I'm not sure if it's a bug, but the timer bar is gone time to time.

Funny game and nice interpretation of the theme :)) We've all been there, and many still are, alt tabbing in and out of games/videos/etc that we shouldn't be using, it's just now it's the spouse, or the boss, or whoever. Great entry!

This was funny. You also did a great job balancing the activities - I constantly had to debate whether I should nap, study, or play. It's a little long - maybe levels, starting at only 1 hour of ingame time, might ease you in? Still, really cool entry, great use of the theme.

Caught in 2x exp event. Mother got disappointed, how awful of me  Nice cool game. That monitor was so irritating. I remember my old computer, it was a nightmare to play commandos. Felt the nostalgia mate. Great game. Wish there were more sounds.

Great game and concept! Would've loved at least some sfx, but overall the game is fun! The art is good and the experience feels solid, it's already a pretty complete game. I like the feeling of holding X to study, and managing the time around. Would've appreciate more feedback from getting a strike from mother

The mood is great, I had a very similar experience growing up

Mom is disappointed  Hey are you gonna work on this game further in the future? I really enjoyed playing it! And the graphics are amazing, everything from HUD and palette to characters. You are so talented  Hope to play it again with more content and sounds!

What is your background btw? I can see it's your first LD submission but the game looks pretty solid, you probably have some experience. I would love to hear your story!

Love the presentation and idea behind this. Would wish that collision was a bit more tolerant, so that it doesn't stop you the moment you hit something. Kinda allow you to slide along tangentially colliding.

Very solid concept, the graphics reminded me of something from the Gameboy. The core gameplay is very addictive.

That's my early life in a nutshell, but with more studying.. Love the concept and the idea of hiding the timer after a while. Had fun playing it!

Really great visuals, and nice take on the theme
Stressful to swap from the game to the studying to the nap, even worse when the timer disappear, but the game is really fun to play.
Great job!

B+ and the sword, I am a made man in both the RPG and the learning world (although the slightly disappointed mother slightly disagrees).

What a wonderful idea for the theme. Very cute game people can identify with. The art style fit perfectly, and the game loop was very exciting, especially after the timer disappeared. Squeezing out that extra second even with the risk. Immediately had to try again after losing to try if another strategy works, that's the mark of a great game, well done!

The core loop of balancing all three stats is quite fun. And the monitor taking time to start gives a nice bit of depth as it opens up new strategies such as studying/taking a nap while it charges. Having the focus, boredom and tiredness directly effect study efficiency makes the balance of these stats even more impactful and prevents the player from cycling through all three activities constantly. The timer disappearing mid game is a pretty cool element of challenge, too.

The visuals look nice, lack of audio definitely hurts the overall feel of the game but it's forgivable.

Good entry overall, got an A+, didn't get the sword tho. I hope there will be more events that are not the day before my exams :]

Very cool idea and great execution! I like the difficulty curve of removing the 10 second timer halfway through. I also liked the dual goals of getting an A but also leveling up in your MMO. Visuals are very cute! Gosh, with some sound this would be a near perfect compo entry. Great job!!

Loooooved this game, really awesome idea, and nice art style! I had an A+ but could not go to level 99, dammit mom!
But I guess I'll have all the time to play when I have a work (NO!) :)

Thanks for this game, would love this more of yours!

The juggling act of keeping up with my online life, sleep, studying and sanity only to disappoint my mother with my grades is very relatable. The premise and character design are really cute.

Seems like a game I would want my future son to play XD. Overall great execution! Great art and vibe!
I don't hear any sound, but it could add much more details and mood in the game. Good job!

Nice original theme implementation and really well executed. The aesthetic is cool and definitely suits the historic setting! I wasn't sure if it was a bug at first, when the timer disappeared but clearly it is a feature and I think it works well - maybe a clear in game warning/reason for it (like your watch breaks or something). The main criticism is that it wasn't that much fun for me personally although it sounds like it worked well for a lot of people! Perhaps a bit shorter, or even different levels for different tests. Really good piece of work though!
