Blobbbert: 10 Second Navigator by Xorel
This is my first time finishing a completed game on my own...and I feel so so happy at this start!
Blobbbert: 10 Second Navigator is a simple maze traversal game where the mysterious Temporal Temple of Traversal forces our poor hero to think out his moves in 10 seconds, where he will then move through all the commands given to him by you!

WASD to move, escape to exit...pretty bare bones and only contains 3 levels, but everything is built in a way for me to now easily add additional levels as I go!

In general was a really nice experience and well made, also congrats for completing your first game by yourself
Cool game, I am glad I didnt need to remember the whole track like I thought I would.
Great submission
Thanks for making this little gem.
Great game, I liked its uniqueness and the simplicity of the concept. The graphics were also cool. Well done!
I enjoyed the simple, retro-style graphics and sounds.
But I sometimes wish I had a key to get it to move dammit ... ha ha
Well done!
It was fun to try to blindly guess the layout of some levels and try to complete them on the first try. It is an interesting question whether you should add some kind of ghost feedback instead of forcing the player to count the moves in their head. I think it can easily get very jarring for the brain - especially on larger levels.
I can always appreciate when people take time to create their own music and sound effects for their jam games. The music was a bit repetitive though and I would have wished to turn it down a little. It is a good practise to always include a volume slider right at the first screen of your game. It is very hard to judge what would be the correct volume level because it depends on the player's setup.
Overall, great work! Looking forward to seeing your games in future jams!
I also felt like the music and effects didn't match the mood. Like, they were very electronic but Blobbbert was squishy and cute. I would have loved something more playful.
But otherwise great entry. Lots of room to add new mechanics here, I think
Oh and I so wanted squish music too, alas my lack of experience making music made me finally just go with a bouncy/metronome sound lol. Again thanks for the great feedback, I really appreciate it!
Pros:
- Cute main character
- Simple old-school graphics
- Well executed mechanics
- Glad that crashing on a trap does not reset the level
- Sfx and music in Compo is always a plus
Cons
- Last level is a bit too random, especially that on earlier level you do show the goal mark
- Wish there was a tiny bit more variety of the puzzling
Good job nonetheless!
