You run around, trying to smash things with your katana until the bullet hell you're in catches you by surprise and takes away your only life. Well... that's not a lot of fun, is it?
Please don't take it too harshly, I'm only trying to provide a useful feedback. Keep it up!
I didn't realise the elemental mechanic until I reread the page and tried again. so was quite confused as to why attacking did nothing. Some in-game instructions or some feedback when hitting the wrong type would have been useful.
The bullet hell needs to ramp up much more gradually, it is ridiculous right from the first spawn.
Also turrets probably shouldn't fire as soon as they spawn to avoid being hit straight away when they spawn right next to you.
We were a little bit confused with time, and realized quite late, that there is 1.5 hours to the end of the ludum, and 1 hour for submission, that we've spent to add sound to the game. Unfortunately, Unity errors with WebGL didn't let us to make a version with sounds in html5, so we working on it.
We wanted to make a good game for all of you, but just missed the deadline, and this is so frustrating. :disappointed:
There is a lot thing to polish and add to the game, and I hope we will continue developing, as @bluesand said.

some turrets were spawned quite closely to each other, and with 3 hits before the character dies, it was quite hard for me to last more than 10-15 seconds. i don't think i was ever able to pass more than 30 seconds of gameplay :skull_crossbones: so it was quite difficult for me! perhaps starting with fewer turrets, or having them more spread apart, or giving the character a few more hits might help players survive through the initial part of the game.
lastly, having the character being able to walk off the map was quite surprising. i thought i was going to fall, but either adding some collision or having the character fall would help make the game a lot more immersive!
otherwise, it looks like a really fun game and i wish i was able to play through more of it!
We've made a little update of the last itch.io version of the game with boundaries and indication for pressing "E" near shrines to use it, and still looking forward to make a playable game from this entry :D
