The Lair by Mekuri
Welcome to The Lair- A first person(sort of) turn-based combat game.
Being a badass monster is hard, with all those heroes entering your Lair over and over again. It is your job to kill them, and then feast upon them to grow stronger.
TL:DR:
Keep in mind this is a turn based game- I didn't quite get to finish the intro, so you're thrown right into the action. You will unlock skills and spells as you progress. The game can be hard at the beginning (Especially due to the randomness) but once you get some more abilities it should be easier.
Essentially it is all about balancing devouring and draining! Have fun!
About the submission:
Most sounds are made by myself, or are modifications of others people work. External sounds are all from freesounds.org
#### About updated web version ####
Fixed some bugs, and general balancing to make the game more entertaining. Some bugs remain, but not major impact.
The downloadable versions are -not- updated, and still contain the original submitted versions.

I could easily see this as a more polished, post-Jam game.
As for things that could be tweaked to push this to excellent, have a visual indicator of who's turn it is including your own. Maybe even having a turn order visual. Having a way to see what the skills are and what they do / cost. Enemy health indicators (that's kind of up to personal taste though).
As for balance, the random output of enemies is nice but can be unforgiving. It would be nice if there were some way of getting HP back from elves as there were many times when I'd be flooded by elves leaving me with no way to regain HP.
All nitpicks though. This was really nice. I could see this doing really well on my iPhone too!
The UI could use some polish as well. Since the "End Feast" button was in the center, it was easy to miss the "Devour" and "Drain" button. It would be nice if usability in the game was improved.
Other than that, the attacks I had didn't quite make me feel powerful, so those could use some enhancements.
