Word Search Point and click game by minidavid

[raw]
made by minidavid for Ludum Dare 51 (COMPO)

This game is a strange mashup between a word game and a point and click-ish game. It was an interesting process. Can be played on mobile or using a mouse or touchpad. Made on tic80

best way to play this game is by treating is as a crossword puzzle, because that's the original intent. The game may be confusing because the npcs are there and you're giving them properties such as the ability to defend themselves and more. It is not meant to be played with twitch reflexes, but thought out as a puzzle game. Including the "fight" area.

Awesome to see a TIC-80 game. Cool concept. Got the hang of it after a few plays. Good job.

Very good art! I really like the way it looks and feels. I feel like it can be very good puzzle game with different and interesting puzzles. But I don't really understand what the final goal tbh.

@Prologi it's okay if you hate it. I didn't love the puzzles too much either. I'm not much of a point and click dev or a word search dev (should've researched on the point and click subject matter a lot better, looking at how the result turned out). Connected puzzles as a concept is something I've not really done much of.

There's not much of a goal, other than solving the word search puzzles. If I continued the game, I'd research on point and click aspects much better and be able to come up with something.

Though, I thought the art was a little mediocre from my end.

I can't seem to play the game? When I click on the play, then I see the "- Click to play -" at the top...

Perhaps add a fallback link?

Holy crap. This was one hack of a trip! Got a bit of pony island vibe in here (intended or not).

I didn't read your comment until after playing the first time and I really couldn't make sense of the game. To improve players impression of your game I suggest moving your comment into the description. Other than that it was a fun little mash'up. Well done!

Definetely interesting! Very experimental. Felt a bit to figure out what was actually the point on my own. Still interesting. Thank you for submitting it to my stream!

This was a wild ride. What an experimental approach to the theme! Great art and music, and a really out there gameplay concept.
