Paws of Purrsia: Kitty Litter by 8Keys Studios
The Game
"Paws of Purrsia: Kitty Litter" is a 4-player party game where players coordinate their moves to keep a palanquin from tipping-over. Think Persian-version of Crazy Taxi with four drivers controlling one vehicle. Remember, you are carrying VIPs on a palanquin, so pay attention to their individual demands while marching.
WHILE THIS GAME IS MEANT FOR FOUR PLAYERS, YOU CAN TOTALLY PLAY IT ALONE IF YOU HAVE A GOOD CLAW GRIP

The Story
Ancient Purrsia is a hub for foreign trade, and people from all around the known world pass through the city on their trade routes. The King of the Kingdom--King Fat Cat--is having an epic parade in honor of the anniversary of his ascension to the throne. You are assigned to carry his most prestigious guests and His Majesty himself! No single cat can bear such responsibility alone, so the four of you must bear him together.
The city is colorful and extravagant, as are the people who pass through it. From rich merchants to shady individuals, holy men to warriors, winos to weirdos.
Level one - King Fat Cat: His Royal Highness is the latest in a long line of benevolent rulers. He doesn't quite measure up to his father in terms of brains, but he believes he is the best of his family and will be the most awesome ruler. Parade him through the city in a stately manner.
Level two - Drunk Cat (developing): He's a very rich and powerful cat, who may have over celebrated a bit at the King's parade. He's drunk and quite confused, so he never knows which way he needs to go. He also tells rambling stories as you walk. Don't move him too fast or he will vomit, don't start and stop too much or he will vomit.
Level Three - His Husky the Excellency(developing): He's a very serious and stoic kind of guy, who doesn't recognize jokes and takes everything said at face value. He has been told of a vendor selling hot dogs for food(!) and he is incredibly insulted. He demands that you take him to this vendor so that he may investigate these claims. He wants to go fast and he needs to stay cool.

With that in mind, let me first tell you that I love the name, the graphics and the music - great job on that! Sadly, I don't like the rest.
The game seems too buggy to play properly. The physics seem too shaky, unstable and glitchy (maybe it was on purpose, I don't know). That wouldn't be too much of an issue, since it was relatively playable... but I just can't get through the first level.
Once I get past the two dogs throwing overly heavy roses, the game suddenly decides to play a cutscene... while teleporting me about 2 metres back, only without the fat VIP cat which, as a result, falls off every time.
Sorry for being harsh, I don't mean to. I think this game has potential, but it needs extra work.
- Sometimes I had the feeling to be randomly above the ground
- Trigger for beggar cut scene too small, pushing back the player and losing the cat prince (already mentioned)
- Random death at the stairs when not jumping on them
- It felt impossible to catch a rotating cat prince (he wouldn't drop back on the vehicle even when moving forward)
- I didn't really feel the impact of the dropping roses?
- Sudden speedbursts, losing the cat
If you work that out it would be more smooth and an really great multiplayer game. Maybe you could also extend the idea with mechanics like Octodad / Mount your friends for keeping the player in the game.
Too bad I can't play it to the fullest since I wouldn't find 4 people to play it :(
I like the music and the story/set-up. However the physics are quite unpredictable and make carrying the king very hard (perhaps intentional). I got stuck in the 2nd uphill and couldn't move.
I like the triggered events tho, makes it possible to beat if you just retry enough:)
