Dolores wants to be a model employee at the donut shop, but punching holes in donuts all day? BORING! Luckily, her coworker Trini has introduced her to a new mobile game that should help her kill the monotony. However, she has to be careful, because every 10 seconds, the foreman performs his inspection, and if she is caught screwing off, she'll be in trouble! Can you help Dolores juggle the challenge of being a responsible adult, while still getting a high score in her game? Find out in "Dolores to Donuts"

Controls:

Mouse - Clicking the phone screen will swap Dolores' concentration between the phone screen and her job.

Clicking the Donut press will punch holes in donuts.

WSAD - Move around in the mobile game.

Hints: Timing is key. Try to aim for the center of each donut. And remember not to punch holes in cream and jelly-filled ones! Look for the telltale filling on the side of the donut!

I feel the lack of a way to fullscreen the webGL version of the game just made things too small to really tell what was going on.

The graphics are AMAZING! Soooo impressive, on top of all of the other elements you implemented! It was pretty hard to keep up - it took all of my attention just to do the donuts haha. Very funny :D

You won't believe this ....but during our brainstorm session we came up with "a game where you need to multitask work vs a game. The game will be Vampire Survivors". I opted out of that because I didn't want to make 2 separate games in a weekend.

AND YET YOU DID IT. Crazy!

The first thing I did was zoom in on Itch so that I could cheat a little and see the screen better :P But it didn't take too long before I realized kiting monsters were quite easy in the game. Not unlike VS itself lol.

This was a very fun concept though, combining a lot of different elements together to create a unique setting. As someone who worked in a donut shop before, I will confirm all of this is totally accurate. I'm impressed you squeezed so many aspects together in time.

Is the victory screen pose a reference to anything? I know you guys like to do that sort of thing.

very nice graphics made. with the 10 seconds I'm missing something. evtl is every 10 seconds the manager came. would be a feedback super when he comes. so as a warning.
nevertheless well done. the mix of mobile game and the donout press is first difficult but goes with time then

Literally me at work (I also may or may not be a pink haired anime girl punching holes in flour products)

Took me a while to realize that you can still control the game while it's "minimized" but once I got it it was a nice ride! Congrats for these submissions! It was 2 games really, haha.

Play the game while you're playing the game, excellent! 10 donuts without a hole out of 10 =^.^=

Lovely artstyle, but overall, a bit confusing gameplay. Would love to see a reworked version, without the costrain of the 10sec and with more visual feedback

Is there any fullscreen support? I can barely see anything! I like the artstyle a lot, the girl is really cute. Sound effects are a bit abrasive. The gameplay idea is novel and engaging, but takes some time getting used to.

Overall, great job.

Took a couple tries, but eventually got it. Wild you designed 2 games in one, it's super engaging! The only bit I can think to change is I wish the HTML5 version on itch was larger. Other than that, really rad!

Wow, it took a bit find the balance between games, amazing that you pretty much built two separate games. Great job!

Funny enough, that was my first game idea (not with the donuts, but with a regular worker being observed by their boss and trying to play a mobile game in-between) but I eventually went with a different concept. I'm happy to see this idea so well executed here! It looks fun and has a big dose of humor. Solid entry, keep up the good work!
