Things Happen by yetanother

[raw]
made by yetanother for Ludum Dare 51 (JAM)

A narrative physic-based game where you have to manage things.

Try to keep as many squared little things on the platform as possible.

Be organized and patient and maybe you’ll succeed.

Or just let it go. Splash.

I loved it! It's a great vibe, I love the game, graphics and music, and it's a great combo. My only gripe was it was a little too easy to send many cubes yeeting into the great yonder with a little flick of the wrist. Amazing job!

Very cute and fun! I wish that everything was a little more solid so that you could really stack everything up. he difficulty was good, and while simple, it was fun and engaging. I also loved the little comments on each new drop. Nice job!

Awesome game, great message! I feel overwhelmed by all the things I'm supposed to handle too! The music was superb and the controls were pretty tight for 72 hours! Thanks for uploading!

Fun! Loved the music. I didn't fully understand the rules for how a stone block turns back into a movable block. At first I thought it was when the base underneath disappeared, but then later I had some stones turn back to movable when I had not yet lost anything. My strategy when I finally made it to 50 was to just stack things in as neat of a square as I could.

Really liked:
- Art and visual aesthetics
- "popping" sounds was mood appropriate and very satisfying
- Music was great
- Overall mood was pieced together well with the music, art style and pace of the game all matching together.

Took me a few tries but I finally made it to 50! The little squares are very bouncy, made it challenging. It was pretty fulfilling to find a good strategy. The music and sound effects were chill, I really enjoyed my time playing. Nice entry!

Really cute game! I feel like the physics could use a little work, sometimes a block would drop straight down but would still bounce around making it really unpredictable. All around good job!

I lost things.. so many things..
But I also stacked about 40 things! I think the artstyle and music are really fitting. Good job on doing so much with such simplicity :)
