Are you a real gamer? Yeah I don't think so! I bet you save the game every ten seconds! We'll see how u like it when the game autosaves constantly, even if you're in a bad spot. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!1!1!

Slash and walljump your way through the Australian bush to kill the sneaky wizard who cursed your save file. It's quite challenging, but the game saves often so it shouldn't be that bad. >:)

Nice game! Good take on the theme. I like the art, and the controls are good. I'm notoriously bad at platformers though, and especially wall jumps, so I only made it a ways. Still enjoyed. The real gimmick here isn't the 10 sec autosave though, it's "G to attack" lol!

Really liked the game, very interesting way of fitting the theme. Only wish there were some more "bad time to save moments".

Intro is pure fire :D\
Controls a little sloppy, but I really like the gameplay, and design of the level! Art and music also very good!
Awesome job!

LOL the intro! The game is really fun and I like the originality of it. I wish there was like a way to go back to the previous save since it saves every 10 secs on the theme, sometimes it saves in a tight spot and you're soft-locked unable to continue playing.![Screenshot 2022-10-06 183444.png](///raw/13b/84/z/529d1.png) but really nice game. :)

This has been my favorite game up until now. It's a brilliant interpretation of the theme, and the auto-save mechanic is super interesting. I loved the moment I realized I have to kill myself asap because I fell down a well. I think there are probably more tricks you could come up with to expand on this. Starting off with the ending cinematic was also really cool, I was really motivated to get the wanker. The level design was excellent, the art was great, the music was cute, I just had such a great time I played it again just to explore more of the environment. I suspect it's possible to break some of the levels with a clever wall-jump, but I wasn't able to execute it. Really big props to you for such a cool entry. Thank you for the game.

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW! This has got to be one of my favourites of the jam. well done you three!! The clever use of the theme - having to really strategise to get through the awesome level design. Great audio in the game. Let's say interesting voiceover at the start haha. Please make this a full game I would play the hell out of it :)!!!!

this game is extremely polished: graphics are very nice, controls are super responsive, idea is very clever.

my only problem was the attack button is a bit unpractical.

Really fun, controls are smooth but wall jumps can be suprising :) .
It's a really innovative mechanic to anticipate auto-save and avoid soft-lock, i loved it.
Thank you

The intro and the unexpected voice acting are hilarious  The level design is great too with the pitfalls and traps. Definitely one of my favorite entry in this game jam.

It really felt like an old school arcade game. The random save point was a great use of the theme! Well done!

Really funny concept, and you executed it very well. There's some really good tuning to keep the autosaves fair even when it gets hairy. Excellent pacing as well, it explored the concept and didn't overstay its welcome. Great job!

Wow awesome job with this, I think this is such a clever idea! It is fun because you can play around with the 10s by waiting to get a good save point, or if you're not paying attention and playing faster you could accidentally get a terrible one. You almost got me once or twice on the drops back to the start but I rapidly pressed R before I got a new save back there haha The character art is great and feels responsive jumping around and slashing. Love the cutscene too, the art there was awesome! Great job!

Yoo this is very close to one of my original ideas for this theme! Great to see it executed (and way better than I could have :D)! The level design is well balanced and has good progression and the shortcut is a great idea in case you get soft-locked. Didn't expect an intro with some story and even voice acting! Kinda unfair to go from my original pitch but a fun thing you could do with autosaves is to replay the final (perfect!) run at the end, though that's technically very difficult and the gimmick is probably not worth the effort :D Anyways had a lot of fun with this game, graphics and sounds are great as well!

Great platformer with plenty of content for a 72 hour game! I really loved the experience. Is there a secret when you make it to the wizard, or is there a single ending?

The respawning was a bit wonky at times -- it seemed like the birds sometimes just kept charging as I reloaded! -- but I really liked this thing! The controls are pretty snappy, and the idea of auto-saving in a bad spot was *just* enough of a looming threat to make me play cautiously.
