pic1.png

Description:

It's year 1B39 and you are stuck in your shelter after a barrage of nuclear bombs hit your city. You must try and get out of the city while trying to survive until you can reach this goal (BEWARE!, there are falling nukes every 10 seconds).

Controls:

WASD - movement

E - Enter doors/shelter/etc.

F - Pick up item

Mouse - click on buttons in menu

Details:

Food and drink - you need one of each to survive until the next expedition outside

Wolfster - Energy drink that makes you faster physically and mentally (it feels like the time moves slower)

Pills - reduce radiation in your body

Bags - allows you to carry more items

Flare Gun - Allows you to call for a rescue helicopter (but it takes a while so you need some supplies)

Wheels, Battery, Controller - What to do with these? maybe build some toy car?

Nice idea. I got three endings: destroyed, starved, and poisoned. There are some randomness/roguelike elements which will make some runs impossible. Really liked the theme and graphics, sound and music was alright and also fit the mood. Well done

I wasn't sure how to eat the food or use some of the items. I was impressed with the inventory system that you created, and I think the concept is good! A small issue I had has that the pickup button was f, but I often had to use my index finger to move, so I had to completely stop and move my hand a little to pick up items. Nice work on the art and the rougelike feel!

Nice take on the theme! Having to balance everything was stressful and I think that was the feeling you were going for. Being able to explore further and further by finding more energy drinks was a nice touch. I did feel like it would have been nice to have the ability to take pills during the run if I had them, as I died by radiation very late on in a run. I also thought it was very hard and quite punishing, and that how likely you were to win was very down to luck - though perhaps that's true to life!

Interesting idea, I had a good time playing it! The rng was a little frustrating at times, as you couldn't guarantee survival if the right items didn't spawn. Other than that, the graphics were really nice!

Really nice concept, a little bit of a grind though. It took me a while to realise what the energy drinks were doing, since it wasn't very obvious without reading the game description, but overall a fun game.

Great artwork and a nice pixel style! It took me a minute to figure out but was pretty compelling once I did. I realized I could go to a building besides the shelter, but then being in it wasn't safe. Made sense but it was a bit discouraging as I couldn't see how I would ever progress. Felt like just back and forth to the shelter forever? But I am sure there is a way! Just wasn't feeling in sight. Overall though great work!

This was really fun and had a super good progression. It took me a while to figure out that the energy drinks are what slows down time (even though I know you put that in the text description, I didnt' realize what it meant at the time that I read it - but when I went back to read the description later it made more sense).

I played this so many times. It feels great when you run out and grab exactly what you get a run that is 1 drink, 1 hamburger, 1 pills and maybe 1 other item (like a wheel or an energy drink which is always a welcome sight)

love the art in this game, trying to juke the falling nuclear bomb kept me entertained for longer than it should of i kept starving to death but i had a fun time doing it

Nice game with pretty art, but very hard and it requires much luck to just survive.

It would be great if the shelter could be controlled with the keyboard so I wouldn't have to constantly switch input from mouse to keyboard and back.

Looks great and it's a solid idea, but it isn't very player friendly. Loot could have perhaps been non-random in order to make it not purely luck based. Additionally, perhaps adding alternative bunkers at certain distances away from homebase as a psuedo checkpoint system. Regardless, great job.

Nice game! Fully agree with @kushimoto. I was not able to go inside the first building on my way, but i saw an item on the roof of it. And also the checkpoint system would be nice to have.

I got all the endings! The game relies a bit too much on luck in the beginning, as you can sometimes just die because there was no food nearby. But if you get a good stuff at the beginning, the player is more in control and their death becomes their own fault, and the progression actually becomes quite fun in that case. The inventory upgrade objects are a very good idea, maybe the last inventory upgrade is a bit too much though, as it completely negated the choice of having to carefully select which items you take from each of your excursions. It made me feel pretty empowered, but made the game very easy all of a sudden. Other than that, I found myself replaying the game a lot to get the different endings and I had a lot of fun. Good job!
