KILLING TIME: The Dimensional RPG by Spex130
KILLING TIME - The Dimensional RPG!
The Time Master has pulled you into his diabolical Sub-Time Dimension, beat his tricks, take on his goons, and fight your way out!

In this game your turn-based fight rounds are timed! Defeat enemies to earn new spells and attacks, then apply your new elemental tools to strike back. But watch out! Enemies will mess with your UI as you fight in an attempt to run the clock down! Inversed text? Pop-up ads? SPANISH MENU TRANSLATION?
Stay on your toes, and KILL TIME!!

Instructions
Navigate the menus with WASD and Space
In-Battle, select a move then select a target. Read your enemy's intents by watching the icon above their head, then react accordingly. Make sure to get your choice in before the 10-second timer closes, or you'll be forced to use whatever you've got highlighted!
After each win, select a new spell to add to your arsenal. Each enemy has an element of either Grass, Water, or Fire - add depending on who you will be fighting.
Defeat all the sub-bosses and you will be granted the opportunity to fight the TIME MASTER.
Good luck!

This is a really fun and well delivered game. The quick comedy mixed with the weird mood made this really fun to play!
Really great job though, and I really enjoyed the procedural backgrounds! :D
Also have to admit that the 10 seconds for turn based are really intense :D
But Characters stereotypes communicate elemental types pretty well, liked that!
After some minutes the background went pretty disturbing to be honest, but thats personal taste i guess :P
Overall pretty cool entry, huge respect!
The graphics weren't bad, but it looks to me like it was made by people who couldn't match their art styles. The main character looks like he doesn't belong there and the whole background is so freaking weird and it really bothered me.
I like the originality of the whole concept, but also the little things, for example attacks from enemies. Stolen vowels will haunt me in my dreams for a long time. Good work. Love your job :)
All around, this was fantastic! I **LOVE** how enemies messed with my menu! That's such a creative idea, and you pulled it off so incredibly well. The backgrounds remind me of earthbound, and they look amazing. The character designs are fantastic too.
I beat the final boss! Ah man, again, sorry about the video not working. I feel like I have so much more to say, but I can't figure out what to write down. This is definitely one of the best games I've played this jam. Ah- the enemy attacks were *so creative*.
Wonderful job all around!
The balance on the game was great too - the first three bosses were fairly straightforward but really made me learn the game and its systems, and let me customize my loadout in a way that wasn't overwhelming. Then the final boss was just on the right side of difficult - I had to try it 5-6 times, but each time I felt like I had made a fatal mistake that had put victory just out of reach. It's only when I played perfectly that I managed to scrape the victory (although looking at the other reviews, I'm just bad at the game )
The music was very fitting, sound effects worked well, and it felt like a complete package. Whilst the art maybe wasn't as cohesive as it could have been, it did all lend towards a general theme of fighting off evil. Good job!

Yeah given more time we'd have liked to have done a second art pass, but I'm pretty happy with the mechanics we managed to cram in!
