Type Train by aevek
Welcome to Type Train. Your goal as a train conductor is to make it to the last station on your line, Winnsville, earning stars along the way for carrying valuable cargo.
There are 10 stops on your journey, and at each stop you will have the opportunity to add cars and staff to your train. Adding train cars will get you more points, but also make operating the train more difficult. Adding staff will take some of the tasks away from you to make running the train easier.
Controls: Click to pick cards, click+drag to assign staff to work slots Keyboard keys as prompted to move to cars and complete tasks (0-9 and letters) Left/Right arrow key to view next/previous car

My shortcomings have nothing to do with the game so I will still say that I can see this as being fun for someone else.
I did want to say: I pressed escape at one point, wanting to quit, and the menu popped up BUT clicking on the "quit" didn't really do anything. Maybe a bug?
Lovely graphics
Amazing graphics
Best graphics
Oh did I mention I really LOVE your graphics? On top of that, I've to say I really adore these graphics. Oh and then, the graphics, top-notch!
Anyway, I've grown addicted to typing games like these, and this game is feeding it perfectly fine. Nothing but praise for y'all, great job!
Just dropping this in here real quick <3
I wish there was an easier way to swap between cars, as using the number keys took my hand off home position and made it awkward to quickly type for the tasks. I also think there was a bit of an awareness problem, I found myself confused sometimes where new tasks were appearing (I think they lit up at the top of the screen briefly, but I would miss it?) I'm not sure what the best solution would be, maybe having the enter key just loop through the cars or let you type for tasks while zoomed out? Maybe this is all just because my ADHD has been really bad lately and I'm just bonkers.
I liked the balancing act of choosing more difficult cars for more stars, and being able to hire workers to fill certain jobs. And honestly, I *do* love me some typing game. I haven't played one yet this LD, so I was very happy to find you guys had made one! Again, I can't stress enough how damn good this game looks and feels. If I bought a game off the shelf and was greeted with this, I wouldn't have batted an eye. Wonderful job, well done!

Loved the art and the music, as usual. The gameplay was also just the right amount of chaotic and hilarious. It was a liiiiiiiiiiiiittle difficult for me to remember which cars matched with which numbers on my keyboard, but that could totally just be a me issue. :stuck_out_tongue:
Got a nice score :)

The gameplay, visuals, and sound design is all on point! My only suggestions I could think is allowing you to see who is assigned in the carts already when you are picking new cards, maybe being able to rearrange the carts, and maybe labeling the carts when you are picking card. I think maybe saying the keys you need to press on the cards could help decide too
