Don't press this buzzer by eptwalabha

Really… don't do it

Gameplay

Press the buzzer every 10 seconds.
If you press too early, you fail, if you press too late, you fail.

That's pretty much it.

:exclamation: To mobile users

The game launches on mobile, but doesn't (currently) handle swipe gesture...
That means that you won't be able to reach the end.

Comment:

So !
I overscoped my first idea... again.
Woke up this morning realizing that I won't have enough time to finish a basic MVP before the end of the jam.
That's how I came up with this quick'n lousy idea (wich I am sure a thousand other people had as well).

This was made in one day… so I'm kind of proud… and kind of sad for my original idea

Anyway, enjoy

Assets

As usual, I did everything except for the sounds that I found here and there on the internet.
In case anyone's interested, I can provide a link to download the blender file of the button's model (yes I made it in blender).

updates

  • add a "mute" button
  • fix bug where pressing the button after a game over scroll through levels
  • add a link to this page to another "online version" that doesn't have this issue

ok it's fun and the challenges ramping up is what makes it addicting but i do wish there was more of an indicator of which stages make the button draggable because as is, its the same on all stages and the dropped button stage got me because the earlier pong stage made my button hit the ceiling and nothing happened so i thought it was safe lmao

edit: also it defaults to mute

It's kinda silly how high I am rating this game, but it's fun, simple, and well put together. If this is an "unplanned" entry, I'm crazy curious what the real deal would have looked like!

funny button pressing game
"levels" get progressively harder and sometimes require quick thinking (i'm talking about you upside down falling button)

would love to see a post jam version with improved ui

overall, it's addicting and fun. great job!

Funny game, nice ideas with the further levels :D Minor nitpick but for timers like that I'd recommend trying to format the string with fixed amount of decimals (like 0.10 vs 0.1), not sure how this is done in Godot. Very impressive entry for something made in one day, got a couple of chuckles out of me!

I tried hard... But... I only managed to get to level 2... Guess that's not hall of fame
But a really nice idea :D

This game was really original. Simple, but funny, and surprisingly compelling. Reminds me of the button in that TV show Lost. The curiosity got the better of me and definitely had a strong "What is going to happen in the next 10 second time period" feel.

I mean, pretty solid for being made in one day, but of course the fun burns fast with such an idea.
I hope next time you achieve your dream 3-day project!!!

Simple but nice entry for doing it in one day. Btw mute is enabled by default.

Really simple, but the sound effects make it pretty funny.

I shouldn't have pressed the buzzer. *Why did I press the buzzer.*
