The most atmospheric game about space kittens I have ever played.

Level design puts you in frustrating position often. Like when you need to go out of the second level, a monster chases you and another monster comes out of nowhere unexpectedly

Amazing! I think this game is what the FTL guys were actually trying to do :-D

Loved the concept and atmosphere.

I managed to finish the game without understanding what the calamity beam does. Which means the difficulty was calibrated properly for the first levels (I died a couple of times but managed to quickly finish all levels), but there is probably room to add a lot more content, alas the JAM time is short. I think this game is worth further development.

Well done!

@yogurtthehorse I wish we had more time to work on level design

@mbrezu Thanks for the feedback !
Calamity beam triggers every 10 seconds and a applies a serie of so-called calamities. It can shut off lights, switch doors, turn rooms to alert mode, spawn an enemy on a vent...
Sadly we ran out of time, so we couldn't emphasize this mechanic.

A fun and simple game! I really loved all the effects, one of the most polished games I have played this jam. Although the movement was a bit annoying at times, because the player can't go in a diagonal. If you don't want to add diagonal movement, you could make it so that you go the direction of the newest button you pressed, so that the player does not have to let go of all the keys to go in a new direction. But otherwise great game!

Nice game! Like cats and space, but I didn't understand what happened every 10 seconds.
Sound design is great, overall game feels good.

The look and feel of the game feels polished and I like the space cats! But I couldn't get over that I was only able to move in one direction at the time which felt very limiting.

The cats are super cute!!! I think the game has a nice atmosphere and the music fits perfectly. I was a bit stressed sometimes because I was not sure where to continue. Overall I find the idea really nice :)

Love the game, I loved strategizing on what route I would take to get all the cats. I think on level 3 I decided to not get the closest cat till last since I would have to release the alien behind the airlock. My only complaint I would say is that the character's movement is stuck to a grid, which sometimes felt a bit awkward, but I think it made trying to outmaneuver the aliens more interesting. Great job!

Good sense of atmosphere, a decent amount of polish, a respectable number of maps, cats... yep. This is a pretty solid jam entry. I would've liked a bit more variety in what the calamity beam does, but what's there already is quite nice.

Nice work! However it take me sometime to understand how it connects with theme every 10 seconds. Basically it is every 10 seconds there will be another alien appears right?

I really like the works on mood. Sounds, music and graphics are nice. The gameplay is a bit too difficult. Anyway good job for this entry.

Hey! Very interesting concept and great polish on the game in such a short time! The dialogue really adds a lot to set the mood! One nitpick is just a little unclear when the calamity happens (I think theres a light flicker, but maybe a countdown might be nice?) But just nitpicking, great little gem for the jam!

I imagine it's because you were short of time, but the current gameplay made me rush. So, the "changes every 10s" are too secondary. Even if it's sometimes problematic.

I didn't see the use of the light, and I think a real dark zone would be cool. The light doesn't even have an impact on the ennemies (And they see me behind walls). Maybe darker zone, more ennemies, less fast, and if you light them, they see you. But at the beginning, the guy say we will hurt walls, I imagine the game would be very dark, but you probably had reasons to abandon that.

However, good ambiance, graphics and sound. And if the gameplay is not perfect, it makes the job. It was cool.

Good job !

I didn't thought of a survival horror game with that theme, but you did it. I liked it, the ambiance and visuals are great and I would love to see more gameplay options instead of just walking to take the cats, repairing the lights don't do much and the flashlight is kind of useless apart for ambiance. I also don't seem to figure out the circumstances that make the monsters see the player, so it was a lot of die and retry for me and I couldn't finish the game.
Great job to all of you!
