Nice! The use of the theme and the overall idea is pretty fun. Enjoyed the music and art (אללה חגי) as well!

Controls were kinda weird, felt like I was fighting them half of the time and that they were a bigger threat than the actual monster. Sometimes my dude just won't jump and collision was off as well, so every time I time I jumped I wasn't sure where my dudes gonna end (on the other hand, it was more funny than annoying most of the time). Also took me a while to understand that the fan blades kills you (and that it wasn't a bug). Felt like it wasn't shown properly, but maybe I missed something I dunno lol.

On another (buggy) note, the monster counter on the side never reset when I reset the lvl. The thing was going on its own pace so at some point it hard to know when I'm gonna get eaten. Also I had to change from Firefox to chrome to get the game to work.

@house-trap-charlie We haven't compiled a native version, but you can play on itch:

(note - this is a slightly bug-fixed version)

Hahaha, I love the concept! Had plenty of fun with the voice acting and the last levels. I had some issue with collisions on the logistic levels, but went around them by trying different approach. I really wanted to see the game until the end, and I must say, it was worth it :joy:

I laughed out loud. The animation that shows up after beating a level, where the monster eats the floor above me, is just beautiful. It's like every level I beat is a big win thanks to that animation. The writing was funny, the art was cute, and the level design was great, except for the ceiling fans >:| I had a blast going through this, definitely one of my favorite entries this jam. Thank you for the game!

Love the humour and theme! The per-floor monster destruction works great to contextualise the time limit per level and it's great how consistent the experience is to support the theme. I got a little stuck on one level (I kept dying when hitting the top of the screen, not sure if you die if you go above the top?) but had a lot of fun :)

@simono We didn't have time to animate the ceiling fans. Please imagine them rotating with deadly speed :)

@nobuna-no & @ubershmekel & @simono thank you for your feedback! :)

I really like the overarching escape/chase theme and the twist for the final few levels. Occasionally I would fly off and die on things without any clear explanation, but retries were speedy so those deaths didn't get too annoying.

Great job, the audio adds a really nice touch.

This was awesome.
Humor was great, graphics were nice, gameplay was frenetic and the writing and voice acting made everything funnier.
I don't really have anything bad to say about this other than maybe it could have an endless mode?
Regardless, this is a great entry and a personal favorite of the jam so far.

This is the funniest game I've seen in this LD. The wacky movement makes it even funnier.

Nice job with this hilarious game! I love that you had an actual cutscene at the start with great writing and voice acting! I also love the VO that would come on over the building speaker as you progressed through the game. I thought you did a great job with the effect of the building scrolling down as the floor above was eaten, very cool! I definitely had some bugs with the countdown not resetting/showing accurately when it would be eaten, and sometimes dying despite the monster not attacking. But hey, I had fun, great job!

I absolutely love the presentation and humor. voiceover was great, bossman and monster both have a lot of character. The music was epic and i was super surprised to hear that there were three different versions as you progress through the building! I loved the plot twist in the middle, best plot twist since Bioshock

The jump being kind of jank was a big problem for me and disrupted my enjoyment. For a platformer the jump needs to be on point! If you'd had time to polish that up this would be one of my faves

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

@ryan-dotsikas the "sometimes dying despite the monster not attacking" is not a bug - it's simply that we didn't have time to animate the deadly rotating ceiling fans, and without animation they look kinda turned off! :innocent:

@bamberga I agree about the jank but we focused so much on adding content and at-least-barely-playable gameplay to the game that we ran out of time to fix it! :)

That game felt like it was telling a true story :D
Unfortunately there was a level where I always became mosnter food by jumping too high. Luckily I persisted and found a way too finish the game. Really loved the diversity and detail of the levels. Also the voice commentary was really well placed and added to the atmosphere.

@sibi I'm glad you liked it! In that level, you died because you jumped into the deadly-but-sadly-unanimated ceiling fans :)
