Hunt the lion! I'm a programmer, not an artist, so I cobbled together crude art assets using simple geometric shapes in the Unity editor. Thanks for playing and if you leave a comment I'll rate your entry.

Haha, very topical! Excellent take on the theme, and I actually really liked the graphics! I was surprised you even took the time to model the whole office! The game could use some sound effects, though.

Well done, poignant game, even for programmer art. Definitely a monster. Thank you for the game.

Never mind the graphics or the length, I think the ending was perfect. You got the theme excellently there. Great job!

Heheh, ya know I had thought of a Hunter game too at one point, very topical. Despite the basic graphics, I found it kinda fun chasing that lion around. Damn hard to aim though. Would have been great if you stuck some trees in there for the lion to hide in, and made the lion leave footprints, then there would be more of a hunting aspect.

Shiny! Crosshairs would be nice, though eventually I kind of figured out that the middle of the screen at point blank range would work.

YEAH, where do the shots go

I liked the lighting/shadow.

You shouldn’t have called your art crude because I thought things like the lion were well proportioned and intentionally made to look that way.

I enjoyed this entry, good job!

Nice topical game. It's quite hard to aim the gun, though. I really liked the lion model.

I thought, I would play the monster? But I could not control the lion :( (just joking)

I liked it! Good submission. reminds me of like the hunting part of oregon trail, which was debatably the best part! Dentist Simulator 2015 for current events too :P

The fade to black was a little cheesy. Not sure what the tone of the game was meant to be, but a geometrically simple lion flying into the air and rotating like a can you shoot with an air rifle is hilarious. Lion model was qt.

Good game. Reminds me of that guy who everyone hates for killing that lion... Probably reminds everyone of him.

Topical!

I thought the simple geometric style worked pretty well.

I think the ending could've maybe gone on a bit longer, and punished the player more for killing the lion.

I could see the ending coming a mile off, but I actually enjoyed the hunting part of this. Getting vision from high ground, and actually having to not shoot even when you can were both welcome inclusions.

It's an interesting take on theme now with all the Cecil stuff. The "crude art" as you called it is kind of charming actually, especially the lion! Makes me think of balloon-animals haha!

The gameplay was a bit confusing though. It would've been really helpful to have a crosshair and do know the range of the gun. A shooting sound effect would be effective too I think. I was never able to hit the lion, but maybe you can't?

liked how the lion went belly up. not a huge fan of the ending. solid entry otherwise, short and memorable!

If you put your movement code into FixedUpdate() instead of Update() you won't have this weird jiggle on collisions (FixedUpdate() is synchronized with Unity's physics engine).
Anyway, nice.

Aiming was a little difficult and I took a while to find the lion for some reason.
Interesting take on the theme
