Gameplay

Match-3: Crop Rotation is a classic casual match-3 style game. If you connect three or more of the same piece, you create a match and the pieces are removed from the board. The pieces in this game are crops that have to be harvested. Each crop has a seed stage a small plant stage and a fully grown stage. After every move, each crop has the chance to grow. Harvesting seeds gives 0 points, harvesting small plants gives 10 points per crop, and harvesting fully grown plants gives 50 points per crop. If you harvest more than 3 crops at once you can get combo points. While seeds give no points directly they contribute towards combos, but less than grown plants. Try to get as many points as possible until your moves run out.

I like the concept but for me, it is kind of hard to understand how plant rotation works. Anyway, congrats about making this game :sunny:

Managed to score 7310. At the start I was really confused by the rotations but after playing for a while I got used to it.

Nice. I wish it had some indication of what was going to grow I think after trying it a few times they take several turns to grow, and I couldn't keep track of them all. was fun and I definitely did better the second time. the first I was like why are these nor scoring points and then halfway through I was like oh I see. It's like the bejewel game where you spin the board but with more stuff to keep track of, I like it.

I enjoyed it! Satisfying when you get a few combos in a row! It took a little while to figure out that tiles grew into more valuable tiles, but it was very well executed! Well done :)

In the beginning it was hard to understand the rules and how rotation works, and it was difficult to tell some leafy veggies apart. But after some time, scoring got pretty satisfying :)

when i read the description, i thought i understood how the game worked, but when i actually played it, i was really confused by the "rotation" interaction of mousing over various plants. from the description, it seemed like i would be able to choose how to rotate them by clicking left or right, but in practice, it seemed like they were rotating on their own, and the animation was rather jarring, when they animate into one orientation, then snap back, etc.

that all aside, i like the concept of trying to let the seeds mature and finding matches with the bigger plants.

Very interesting game. I liked it because it seems to mix some game genres. The graphics are beautiful, the gameplay is functional and very simple to learn. And the sound is good. Congratulations.

Cool, i thought i think which way we are rotating should be better visualised, it happend to me few times where i rotated a block incorectly, maybe not auto rotating on hover would help? cuz my brain was getting confused by rotation going one way and after pressing a button i accidently rotated wrong way
