Best played in full screen.

Welcome to Green Thumb! The goal in each level is to collect the needed number of coins by growing different crops. You have limited resources, so keep an eye on how much water, fertilizer, and seeds you have left and use them wisely to grow your garden before you run out of actions. There's also a creative mode where you have enough resources to grow whatever you want.

If you liked this game, you can check out my YouTube channel and my Itch.io profile to see what other game dev stuff I'm working on :)

Controls

  • Use right and left arrow keys to move.

  • Hover over a plant button to see how much water and fertilizer that crop needs to grow and how many coins you can earn from it. Each button shows how many more times you can use that action.

  • Once a crop is planted, an indicator will hover over it to show you how much water and fertilizer it still needs or how many coins you earned from it if it's fully grown.

  • Each patch of soil affects your crops in different ways, which are shown in the bottom left corner of the screen. For example, a +1 next to the fertilizer icon means that a crop planted in that soil will require one extra fertilizer to grow.

  • Earn enough coins to fill your quota and win the level! You can always restart or try a different level if you get stuck.

A tutorial / instructions could be useful, It is unclear what to do

Love the graphics! I think it would be cool if you could see the soil properties before moving to the field.

Interesting concept - it'd be cool to have a continuous mode, where you plant / grow / reap in a loop, and get more challenging plants etc. Loved the graphical style!

I love action based games because u can take your time - therefore i really loved this game :3
A few hard puzzles counted down to the last step possible, a final level that is more of a joke after the close level before and a few enjoyed minutes at my end, great game!

It has an interesting concept. and some nice arts! Puzzles are hard at first glance, but once you start with the loam soil, the levels basically solve itself.

Really liked the combination of concepts/mechanics here, the puzzle/moves-remaining is a nice addition to planting and harvesting. Design composition works well with the art. Weekend well spent. :)

Some of my favorite visuals so far! I like the simplicity, that makes it more focused and fun. A lot of the games I'm seeing have a similar concept, but the complexity keeps me from wanting to play. One issue though, I'm using firefox on a mac, and the size isn't quite right, cutting things off, even in full-screen.

This was a pretty fun game! A lot more difficult than I imagined it being, but still a pretty fun game to sit down and play!

Wow, that graphic design is so adorable! I didn't take a look at the instructions before starting the game, but I figured it out as I was playing. I was surprised to find out it looked like a gardening game, but it turns out it was a math puzzle and I was delighted to play it!

awesome game! I like the art, it is appropriate with the theme, and is pleasing to the eye, the mechanics is easy to learn, the target number of coins must be achieved before the player runs out of moves, a simple concept but challenging , on maintaining the economy of resources (water and fertilizer )the gameplay has a good learning curve. This is a well made game. Overall , I enjoyed playing this one, congratulations! keep it up!

Woah, really cool game. I felt the budget was like, a bit tight on the beginning ones. It'd be nice if you didn't have to do things optimally to win, give a little room for the player to feel awesome! That might just be me. Cute art as well though, good job!

Such a cool game again!

I must admit, first I did not understand why the amounts of water/vertilizer did not match up with the amount I needed to give at first, until I noticed the menu at the left side. Maybe, if I read the instructions, I would have connected the dots haha
Then again, your game was so fun, that I pushed trough until I understood. Awesome implementation. I like how you also put in a creative mode.
The music and graphics are very well done! The only feedback I would have is: this game looks and feels a lot like your previous one, which is not bad ofcourse! But if you want to grow as a game developer, try to experiment a bit next time :-) But only if that is your goal ofcourse! Because what you made here is very awesome!

I also had the issue where the screen was cut off on my machine, but I was still able to make out the rules enough to be able to play. I really enjoyed the puzzle, though with later levels it became a bit difficult to carry everything in my head. It might be nice if there were a way to see the info about the various types of soil without having to move to them, because then it wouldn't require memorizing? Or maybe I missed something like that?

Overall I really enjoyed this! Love the visual style, very clean and easy to understand, and adorable and appealing. And the music is cute and really adds to the overall feel. Great work!

Kind of interesting. However, game design-wise, matching plants to soil types does not matter at all since the soil bonuses are all additive. Therefore, beating each level is merely a matter of finding which soil patches minimize resource use, and which plant types are most efficient (the latter ones), and matching them however you want.

If there were multiplicative bonuses or something like that, maybe it would be more interesting?

Was still pleasant though :) I like the artstyle

Cool game, and amazing graphics. It would be cool if there were some cactuses or some plants that like the sand tiles, because as of now the best thing to do is just to run away as fast as possible from them!
And this is maybe a strange compliment... But even without the tutorial the gameplay was super clear pretty fast because of the clean looking UI. I always struggle with that part and you did it amazingly well! :))

Cute game, I beat all the levels! Graphics are really good. I like the song too! I really like how there's different kind of soils, I'd like to see that expanded on a bit.
