Interesting concept! I'm amazed at all the graphics you created for the intro! I played through to the end, but ran out of food before I could defeat the last monster. I played via browser and there wasn't any sound or sound effects. Would have liked to have had a health meter for the monsters and a time meter for the passing of days (unless I missed it?).

This is a cute little game. I really like the idea of prepping and growing all your food/weapons to prepare for a boss rush at the end with different plants having different power and taking different times to grow. It did feel pretty easy to get lost and having some sort of feedback whether a color change or some reaction when you hit an enemy would be great. Overall good job and congrats on getting a game in the Jam!

The game was a little slow, I found all of the seeds in the first 2 days and then had to wait for the fight to come. Maybe if you fought every night and the seeds respawned it would have been more action packed. Pretty good base though, and the day/night cycle was a nice touch.

The intro cutscenes were really cute! I also like the idea of having a preparation stage to grow and harvest weapons before fighting enemies. It would be cool to see that concept a more fleshed out. Congrats on putting together a complete game with the little time you had!

The image depicts a lovely game. I really like the concept here. But, at first, I had all the seeds and harvest, and I had nothing else to do for a long time. In a nutshell, it was a good job.

Wow, there is a lot here, but your team is huge.
I enjoyed the story and the characters. That was a lot of text. The main world seemed a large and uninteresting though.
My potatoes never finished growing before the bosses. Having all three in a row like that was unexpected but I had plenty of ammo by then so it wasn't much of a challenge.
The collisions seem a bit janky, and escape will quit fullscreen mode in a web build so you may want to bind a different key, or add a button to open the menu.

Brilliant and bizarre story! Also amazing artwork in the cutscenes. I really like the idea oif harvesting my own ammo! Unfortunately there wasn't much planning involved in the crops I planted as I just planted every seed that I could get my hands on. Also the final fight could have been a bit longer or maybe have some intermediate fights every night. I had way to much ammo left over and didn't even get to use my cool golden banana. But since the story is setup perfectly for a sequel, maybe there's hope ;)

That was a wild ride, felt like a bit like a quirky Shonen Anime. I really enjoyed it though! I liked how the story progressed. I liked the companion NPC and their "Tips", which were helpful to unlock everything. I had way more seeds than I could plant and definitely had so much ammo at the end. The boss fight at the end was pretty entertaining and a nice cap to the story, though it would have been awesome to see some variety in the mechanics.

The game is cuute !
A lot of text but the graphics are cute, the tips are really pratical and I found interesting the idea of harvest your own projectiles. Well done !

Pretty big idea to pull off in a short space of time. I did feel like I was just waiting for the boss after a while. When the bosses came I beat them but it felt more of a chore than a reward. I am sure there were bigger plans. The work that has been done here and the writing was good, if not a little too much at times. Good work.

Wow there is a lot of content here, you put your whole team to work! I remember running off to the right side and getting lost in the woods because there is a big spiral there with lots of seeds. I definitely didn't expect this much map from a gamejam game.

I'm actually not sure I've played a game with this concept before. I've seen games where you farm/harvest and then convert the crops to money, which buys defenses (Farm for Your Life I think does this), but I haven't seen one where the crops directly are used as ammo. It was a pretty neat idea and I could see how a full game could really utilize that.

Another novel thing you did was have it be a boss rush game rather than a wavebased. Usually for a farm defense game you have to deal with waves of enemies. I *really* liked the change of pace where you face bosses who look pretty different from each other. This gave it a lot more personality than just waves of standard enemies.

I know what it's like to be a on big LD team so I know that it's very difficult to coordinate (5 people is way easier). The fact that you only worked on it in short bursts of 4h is even more incredible. So I think you did great considering that and hope to see you try more like this!

This was a very nice story! It was a lot to read sometimes, but it was very interesting. I only found the yellow bananas and a whole trove of seeds on the last night, but oh well! Some of the UI (text and images) blocked my clicks during the battles, but that's okay. I appreciate that you made the boss battles easy, because it would have been sad to start over from the beginning. All of the characters were very interesting and fun! Great job on the artwork!!

Before I say anything: ldjam build doesn't work `Uncaught DOMException: The operation is insecure.`

And as for the game...
I didn't bother reading dialogue (there was just too much, I'm sorry), but quickly I realized what I have to do. However the gameplay was boring: planting section was boring and combat wasn't great either. The game felt half baked and unpolish, or as some uneducated people say "It felt like a unity game". Default Unity buttons where scattered everywhere, parts of the HUD were blocking my mouse, mismatched pixel size was everywhere and the player kept jittering whenever I got close to a wall.

Graphics were also quite underwhelming. On their own they looked okay, but they didn't connect together. In the end it felt like the previously mentioned "unity game" art.

I think I can tell you were probably probably tired of the concept and just rushed it to have something out. Don't worry I had the same problem (except that I've instead procrastinated 3 weeks). If that's not the case, then I'm sorry, but the end result was not great.

I apologize if I was harsh, but I honestly prefer when people leave straight comments like this instead of saying "Good job" and moving on

Cute intro story! I had a bit of a hard time reading it without full screen thought. But the attacking was interesting, even if i'm terrible at it! But for only having a bit of time for each of you to put into it, it's still well done!

Fantastic job!

The day/night gameplay felt a bit lackluster, but overall this was a very good experience.

I really like the artwork and characters.

The music is amazing!

Oh wow there's a lot going on narratively in this game! Big kudos for the short time!

I maybe got a bit lost in the first couple of days, but I was surprised to get rewarded for my stubborness as I found a curious opening between two trees and asked myself if I can squeeze through. And I could! It felt like a secret I just discovered, and the tree at the end made me realize "oh I'm somewhere special!"

Amazing moment!
