I did notice a few things I think could stand to be improved
- The heart and acorn icon on the map look very similar
- It'd be nice if you could view the raccoon's current wants on the map screen somewhere
- Ideally, the game should slowly introduce new elements over time, I was a bit overwhelmed when I started and saw 5 counters and like 20 buttons I had to figure out
That said, for a jam game, you guys did good! Best of luck with your future projects
- fixed a critical bug preventing the next level from loading
I've incorporated most of it in a new version available on itch.io https://fuzzylobster22.itch.io/cahoots
This version is a lot more polished, and probably shouldn't be considered for scoring in the jam, but check it out if you want to keep playing!
I'm able to get to the Bear by building Rabbit on Year 1, Peach on Year 2, Plum + Deer on Year 3, Beaver + Rabbit&Dandelion combo on Year 4, the Bear + Salmon on Year 5. After that it's not that difficult to get to year 10+, just make sure you spend as much as you can.
I've messed with the difficulty a lot and it's at a point that's comfortable for me... but I've playtested it a lot haha.
>the tip on V1.1 said 8 raccoons and one water symbol i had 8 water but the raccoons did eat way more than 8…
The game uses pseudorandom number generation to come up with the amount of lost resources. I think that it's important to put randomness in the game to keep it from getting boring, but I can definitely see how that's confusing and how it's frustrating to save up what should be exactly enough only to lose anyways.

Somehow i got half a leaf :)
- I can still click to a resource even if I don't have enough to place it. There is a sound feedback and UI feedback on topbar about I cannot place it but it would be nice if I cannot click them if I don't have enough resources.
The art and music in this game are excellent, great work!
