I am bad at making game names

Great idea about moving the barn around to protect it! The potatoes attacks are perfectly suited for this mechanic. My scarecrow ended up dying way more than the barn though. I kind of wished the scarecrow had infinite health and all you had to protect is the barn.

The potatoes were pretty difficult to defend against. Got ran over by them every time :D

I really like the mechanic of knocking the barn around. It gives the game a little bit of a sports game type of vibe, like knocking a ball around and trying to keep it away from the opposing team. I think leaning into that a little bit could yield fun results. Overall a genuinely fun and novel feeling mechanic to interact with.

I like the graphical style and atmosphere of the game as well. :)

A little more difficult than I would have liked, but I can't help doing the same in my own games so I get it lol.

As some people mentioned, the machanic of knocking the barn around was awesome, it felt really satisfying to hit the barn and prevent it being hit by a potato at the last second :)

Awesome game design! the barn mechanic is unique, being able to knock it around is fun. Liked the enemy variety as well. Could use some balancing, the potatoes in particular were pretty tough.

Great first jam game, i really like the art style. The combat is simple but on point and works really well.
I do agree with some of the other commentors about balancing and that the scarecrow basically died way more than the barn, particularly the corn did a lot of damage. But i know, balancing is hard, i cant get it right either so there's that :shrug: Otherwise a great little game, good job :thumbsup:

One thing i would have liked to see was som kind of aim indicator because i was often clicking without seeing my mouse and then i hit in the wrong direction.

I like how you can hit the barn to try and direct it way from danger, but there were times where i just ended up witting it right into a potato that charged at it lol. Nice game :)

Really interesting idea with needing to protect the barn, it moving on it's own and being able to hit it to move it around made it even better than I expected. But I don't really like the combat for some reason, having bigger health pool for you and the barn would have made me play longer and probably get a better idea of why I don't like the combat or perhaps even begin to like it, I don't think it's just that I'm now too used to auto attacking in such games.

@unentokku yeah at the beginning I was planning on giving the player abilities to make the combat more interesting, but making the basic game ended up taking longer than I thought so I had to keep everything simple and compact.

@zach-hsu Just to be clear I don't think more abilities would have improved whatever I was having an issue with, perhaps it was how short the scythe's range is or not getting enough feedback from attacking and/or getting hit.

Cool mechanic! I love the graphics, animations and how you push the barn everywhere.
Maybe it would have been nice to see one or two more type of enemies... also, the screen tearing hits hard on this game...

Classic, quick game. I like the concept and there is a lot of depth to it. Will you hit the barn and push it to safty or will you focus the enemeys to get them down quickly? Stay with the barn or try to take the attention away from it? It was easy to pick up, but difficult to get an actual high scroe. And the art and sounds were amazing too.

I enjoyed it, the gameplay is decent and the visuals are unique (in a good way :D). Great job for your first gamejam!
