Reap the Harvest (Windows/Linux) by randompast

[raw]
made by randompast for Ludum Dare 52 (JAM)

Theme: Harvest

This is a game where you go through a maze to collect crystals to protect yourself from the ultimate harvester: The Grim Reaper. You can neutralize the reapers if you have a crystal, otherwise you'll get a game over if you run into them. Eventually, after much wandering, you might find a door to escape the maze.

The lights were supposed to ward off reapers, but are currently just for looks. We intended to have the player grow crystals while they edged their way through the maze using these crystal-safe zones.

I found the exit!
Really cool game, the graphics are awesome, one of the prettiest looking games in the jam for me so far!
I didn't really understand the system of the firefly and gem mechanic, it doesn't really punish you for going into reapers I think?

@riesyeti Thanks for the feedback! I appended the description to take your comments into effect. You can neutralize the reapers if you have a crystal, otherwise you'll get a game over if you run into them. The lights were supposed to ward them off, but they're currently just for looks. The idea was supposed to be, you grow crystals and edge your way through the maze using safe zones around these crystals.
