Nice and relaxing game! I love mushrooms so this was great. However not all mushrooms I found could be picked up, like the Cronstal and Aunt Ena. Some of the (fake?) Grubflakes had inversed normals. The only non-fake looking grubflake couldn't be picked from the tree like the Ena's. At the end I also didn't know how to add the mushrooms so I couldn't finish the game. I think this game has a lot of potential though! would love to see if you decide to take this further

I wasn't able to pick up shelfs, or the blue ones with the discs. And I only found one barnacle one, but it was floating in the air in the cave. I'm guess its the random gen.

Great music and idea though! I love the concept, it was quite relaxing, just wish I could finish the game

I absolutely adore the visuals, I want to make a game that looks like this!(I'd be a bit interested in looking at the Godot project file) Wandering around and realizing that I hadn't at all kept track of where I was nicely scared me for a bit but thankfully I found my way back to the hut.

Thought I'd try finding water based on sound but it was surprisingly difficult, luckily happened to see it from atop a cliff.

Realizing that adding more than one of same type of mushroom probably won't hurt and the game never says you need them all was neat.

Also like @lottaunicorns I couldn't reach/highlight the only non fake/buggy looking Grubflake or pick either of the two Aunt Enas I found(needing to pay attention to them before picking them up was a nice touch that would have easily messed with pick first identify later plan I initially had, speaking of, I did greatly enjoy eventually being able to just look at a mushroom and go nope before even picking it up) but I had no trouble picking Cronstals that I could reach, I was very slightly disappointed I couldn't jump on top of the rock on the right to potentially get the 2nd Cronstal in this screenshot:

And oh yeah, I did have a brief confusion about how to add mushrooms but realizing that just dropping them on top of the pot would work was quite nice.

I'm really impressed by the low poly art style you did in this short time. The models and textures are great and the resulting landscape is marvelous. While most games reduce the assets to the bare minimum, your game really fells like a large world. The music and sounds match the game perfectly.

I like the story and what you made out of it. But it was a bit hard for me to follow the instructions, because I'm not a native speaker. Poor grandpa

Anyway, good job!

@unentokku and @zubspace , thank you for your positive comments about the visuals! I worked really hard to make assets that were low-ish poly, had low res posterized non-filtered textures (usually 128x128 pixels), and importantly had the shading hand-painted. Sometimes it looks off when the dark bottom of an object is sitting on well lit ground, but all the lighting and shading you see in game is manually painted (by painting shades of grey vertex colors); there are no dynamic light objects. Hopefully this gives you some ideas if you would like to try this style in the future. ^_^ -Quinn (graphics lead)

I really liked this. I love the world building in the beginning, I really got lost in this. Unfortunately I was not able to pick up some of the mushrooms. As a mushroom forager it's cool to see it in a game.

This was very hard!
The 3-shelves mushroom near the cave entrance is fake, the real one is hidden within a bush)
The green-moss one with the redeye & black pupil is found in a low altitude dead end surrounded by 3 walls, next to a boulder)
All in all it was quite nice and I genuinely enjoyed playing it! maybe some birdsong would make it more immersive!

There is a lot of content in the game: a massive map, different types of trees and mushrooms, nice background music, sound effects, and a manual. All of this was done in 72 hours by a team of three. Very impressive.

The controllers are awkward; the pop-ups are helping a lot, but still UI feels sluggish. Increasing the animation speed may help.

I killed the grandpa, but I blame the manual, it does not have pictures.

The low poly style complements the atmosphere really well, and the map is surprisingly big in a way that makes me feel lost just like how an actual forest might feel. Really great game, just that I couldn't find my way back to the house after picking some mushrooms.

Nice chill game. I love the low poly aesthetic.
I couldn't find any of the last three types, except one that could not be clicked on attached to a tree.
The first five were correct, though not enough to save grandpa.
I really enjoyed the identification of the correct variants from the notes, not so much the endless hunting. It was fun to explore but it got a bit tedious after a long time of not finding anything. Perhaps more fungi around would have been better.
If you open the notes before the help text appears, the help never goes away.
It was also not clear how to put the collected fungi into the pot to make the potion. I figured it out eventually but my first potion ended up being just water.

It felt kind of a walking simulator. I really liked it. Didn't get all the mushrooms. Instead of that I just was wandering around the forest, as I found it really chilly and fun!

I really liked the low poly style and the mushroom theme. Seems like one of the best ways to use the theme. Loved the woods walk.

Really nice game! I really like the idea of imposter fungi. It's not really my type of game, as I don't have the patience for it, but it was relaxing. The graphics made me feel nostalgic, and the music was nice. Great job!
