That's amazing! I'm impressed that you put "ai" in the credits, because I was going to comment here exactly about how good the art looks. Impressive, can you comment a bit about how the process of using AI was? I'm actually interested in this topic a lot.

@unidaystudio, Thank you for your feedback. Since we are not artists to make our own visuals, we used AI to do that part for us. The way we used the AI was we went on the website DeepAI, and we typed in there the keywords of the art that we wanted, and there's a selection of theme there as well, like how that art would look like with the keywords you have typed in. And after that one, just click "generate" and the AI will generate the art for you. You can also see some arts as well with the same keywords you have typed in.

How to get new person? How to heal? I think I don't understand

Wow this is super impressive. I'm not sure if you've ever played the ported version of Agricola, but I got those vibes immediately with the music, soundFX, color theme, popups.

I'm not sure if I can provide much constructive criticism here -- perhaps with more time, you would have been able to have more tooltips/animations to make it more apparent for a novice gamer on where to go + what to do? But that's asking for a lot more on top of what's already delivered

Is the current linked build functional? I can build buildings, but when I click on them and expand the menu for that building, there never is anything there, like in your screenshots. There are references to farmers in the text when events happen, but never any farmer images in the farm, and nothing that is clickable. I can't click to sell wheat in the market, the farms, barracks, and main shelter are empty all the time. Let me know if I'm missing something, I love this layout and love dice rolling, so I'm very interested in trying this one!

@askbond, To get new farmers (The units you deploy on buildings such as Farms, Market, Barracks) You can only get them on the events during the D-Day (The months with the skull on them). It's quite by chance and luck, so that game really will test your lucks. To heal you need to end your turn while the farmers are inside the Shelter :)

@jaonewguy, Thanks for the feedback!

@t-c, For the farmers to appear on the structures such as market, farm, and barracks, you need to deploy them. You can see the farmers inside the shelter, click on them and then a window will appear as to where you will need to deploy them. :), and to sell wheat in the market, you need a farmer deployed in the market then input the amount you want to sell below the window when the market is clicked, then end turn to gain the profit for selling the wheat :D

@joe-eric interesting! When I was playing beforehand, no farmers were showing up in the shelter. Now that I have rebooted, they are showing up. I wonder what I did haha. Thanks for the response

Relaxing game, very zen! I like the idea of having farmers and being able to level them up and send them out each month for tasks. Once I could actually see them, it worked quite well. A few critiques:

One of the boons makes a farmer's level level 5, even if they're already level 12, so it's very demoralizing haha. Repairing the Shelter costs way more than advertised. Events don't scale, so thief stealing 50 coins when you have 20,000 is no big deal. I wouldn't mind there being an end game condition, or more to do with your gold and how to spend it.

Good submission! I love games with dice and workers and such.

Really wanted to be able to play this, but there's a big brown and white window that obscures my view in the top-left corner- I suspect this to be something to do with scaling to 4K! Just wanted to pop by, let you know about the scaling (I've had similar issues in games before that I've made) but also- let you know that I *adore* the art style!!!

Very nice and relaxing game. I like slow paced games in general so this one is my jam. :)
Graphics are really cool, there has been a lot of effort in the UI, the music is really nice too. Well done.
One or two things : I feel that you could have let the player start with at least one character. And characters could stay in their building between turns instead of going back to the shelter.
Overall, it is an excellent LD entry ! :) Well done !

There's a game breaking bug: The resolution scale doesn't work with 1440p screen.

But this is a really nice concept!

I like all the word jokes and tooltips. It does look like a nice game and has a cool concept with the random events and stuff, but is there any other way of getting farmers, than random chance? Cuz i got the first farmer at the end of year 2 and then some more in year 3, but without farmers, after building the buildings there is not really anything to do except spamming the dice to roll. I saw your other answers, still seems like a weird Choice to me

The game looks great and does have a quite relaxing atmosphere. Good job

This game is great. I had really forgotten that I was supposed to rate this for a good half an hour. Also, I should go buy a lottery ticked because my rolls were insane. Lovely game, calming music, great art style you have it all. UI was a bit finnicky but working around it was a small price to pay to enjoy the game.

Also, feeling lucky mode should just be the default. Or maybe just the default for me

Very chill entry, I played for 20 minutes straight and just relaxed trying to survive fate. With mixed results XD

I love the style, could maybe use some peons walking around the houses as the number of people you have increase. As people said UI can be a bit iffy and getting a good number of farmers is really hard. Maybe you could start with a small number of farmers and have the possibility to build new lots to grow the town

The music and environmental sounds seem to blend well with the gameplay! And the use of AI in the process seems very clever. It will be a good reference when participating in the next Ludum Dare. Thank you.

A few changes with some bugs :)
- Fixed "main menu" button after ending the year to redirect to the main menu.
- Fixed some UI overlap when opening lot 2 structure and the shelter at the same time.
- UI tooltip on upgrading structure polished as well.

We also implemented a web browser game here: https://joeker17.itch.io/dice-wheat-me
Thanks for playing guys and keep hydrated! :D

So I like the idea here, this is really my type of game! But there is a lot missing, of which I am sure you are aware, heh.

- Need a way to attract more farmers.

Seems a lot of the upgrades are a bit pointless with otherwise. I know you said you can get them from events, but
I didn't see any, and it wouldn't be as satisfying anyway.

- Game was too easy until it wasn't

I played through year 1 with no major issues, got several bad events but they just lost me a bit of wheat/coins, but then late in year 2 I got a single event that outright killed a pretty leveled up farmer dude.

- Nothing to do with resources

Maybe add a monthly cost to feed your people? More upgrades that people might actually want? An enemy outside random events?

Anyway, I did enjoy playing, just some thoughts on some improvements that you probably have already thought of, heh. Have a great one!

...no idea why it changed all my numbers from above to 1...changed to dashes, heh.

Cool game. If I understand correctly and teh art is AI generated that it is a great job finding the right pieces for this game. The gameplay is fun, but after some time it feels there is nothing much to do, or did I miss something? I mean, farming wheat and selling it to improve your production is good enough for itself. But I felt a small lack of decisions to be made.

Thank you for your game ! Interesting idea, but lacking more action and explanation of the process. In the second or third month I lost money and the shop, and in the following first and second year I played the game, not knowing how to get out of this situation. There was hope for random events. By the way, the throwing cube can also be interactive, so that the player throws it himself and gets a little more sense of control. F Pressers pay you respect)
