Wow, this is incredible. I can't believe this is a jam game, with everything from the graphics, to the gameplay, to the leaderboard. Well done!

the tutorial doesn't work for me neither, but other asects of the game are super polished, you can be very proud of yourselves. music is a nice nod to stardew valley.

@vein, So did I, but you use WASD to move the farmer character, and then interact with the tile you're standing on. After that however, the game was a blast trying to handle everything at once! :D

Amazing work ! Too many things to do at the same time ! I really enjoy playing it ! the UI is very user friendly. Graphics and controls are just perfect !

@vein you have to walk on top of the tomato seeds with your player (using WASD), then you can pick it up with right click. ( I guess we should have mentioned this in our tutorial :D )

@bartalomew do you know what the problem was with the tutorial. Did you get stuck somewhere with no option to progress?

Good job! The graphics are amazing. The only thing that I feel might be useful is the ability to empty the basket (or fully discard the contents) if you mess up the harvesting. Maybe it was intended this way, so there are consequences. Either way, really nice entry :wink:

I managed to make $615, but it was pretty hard! The whole production is very clean, it's a neat game, well done. I think the game still need some tweaking, especially on the timers: it's very complicated to do everything at the same time, and I keep having 3 crows spawning every 15s. It would be interesting to see the difficulty increase over time and give us time to start slow, and to have the ability to switch between an object on the ground and the one in hand. great job anyway!

very nice finished game. Beautiful graphics. I found gameplay incredibly frustrating. Crops die too quickly, and it takes too long to run around and pick things up and put them down again and by the time you finish everything is dead. with a little tweaking to balance that though, I think it would be a nice little game.

Really good job! feels like a well put together game, music, mechanics and art work well together!

The game has a very nice tutorial introduction and a very soothing audio ambience. But I felt it to be a bit too stressful for me. There is constantly a pressure of wild customer timers ticking down, crops in need of watering AND scaring off crows, you also need to be constantly changing tools in your hands and placing them back where you took them from - too much stress factors for me to handle at the same time.
But yeah, the chaos is also right there in the title. So I don't know why I was expecting anything different :D

At the same time the competitive edge you were going for with the leaderboard, the time limits and a high skill ceiling - that bit works quite wonderfully.
Quite a nice game overall, with very cute visuals that might mislead you into thinking this is a cozy farm of some sorts.

P.S. I really wish you could pick up and pet the cat and just sit and watch everything ~~burn~~ get eaten by crows.

That was really fun actually, and very well made. The music and graphics were great, and the pacing was fast enough to not get repetitive. Although, I wonder how competitive that leaderboard is since it seems like a big part of it is due to luck, since (everything?) is randomized. Regardless, it's always fun trying to improve your score.

Reminds me of overcooked, one of my favourite games!

If you wanna do a post jam version, I'd add little explanatory button prompts (like in overcooked) I think that would further help with readability :)

Also, most of the time the scarecrow placement didnt work for me :( maybe I was just too dumb?

Also I think it would be great if I could swap what I am holding right now with what is lying at one field :)

This is really good! It is definitely not the typical chill farming game, but it's called Crop Chaos so I can't fault it for that! :D

Very fun little game! Reminds me of playing overcooked. The whole game is very complete, and there are many things to do in the game. The operation can be more simplified. For example, when you have an item in your hand and want to get another item, you can directly exchange it.
