There also seems to be some sort of (i assume) bug that's making a lot of the game obects very very bright.
I wish the game had a little more direction at first, you start facing a narrow path that is actually an invisible wall, and the rest of the level is actually behind you. I also cant seem to change my control scheme at the start menu? Not sure how it's navigated.
I think with a little more polish and direction the game could improve greatly, I really like the idea here.
The LudumDare build had a light baking issue and the traps were still triggered by the player.
I thought I had updated the LudumDare build with that fixed but it was the Itch.IO build does not have those issues. I corrected that issue here with the V1.1 build. Thanks for playing!
I'll have to look into whether maybe the issue is multithread/coroutine related.
Ending sequence brought me joy.
Overall: A really good entry.
I have no idea how you did all that, lol. I'm definitely jelly. Good job!
The end is fun, and the graphics is cute. Good job !
The bones are there, and I love the limitation of having two traps and needing to circle back for them. The swarming feels like an opposite-day Vampire Survivors mechanic where I'm being completely mobbed. I think a small jump/flutter could feel nice to allow me a bit more mobility to outsmart the wolves and could allow building in some verticality to the levels.
Nice work!
