Lots of potential here but I found the interface a little overwhelming. I feel like more feedback on when items were collected or buttons pressed would've helped a lot. The camera tracking and exploration aspects look great and I liked managing the ants as the colony grew.

Pretty cool, I think it would've been better if the tutorial screens showed up as you played, instead of in a separate window, it was a bit hard to remember what I wrote when playing. But great job, it's really cool to see the AI you've built in action!

Thank you for the nice feedback! <3

@svemir That's true, it is kinda difficult right now to know what thing the ant is currently holding.

@allan-urique Yeah the tutorial inside the game would be better. We hoped that atleast tooltip hints would help :)

a bit hard to handle, the tutorial gave good info but in practice i was a bit lost. however, i really love the idea of the ant sim, leaving pheromones, etc! this game has a big big potential and i would love to see a post-jam version of this!

The game is quite difficult as my ants wouldnt move for a bit, but once I figured it out it was pretty interesting!

Really cool concept, but could do with some more explanations within the game (maybe start with small tooltips telling the player about their next step?)

Really interesting and original concept and a nice take on the theme without being another farming game! I agree with some previous comments with the interface being a little overwhelming, it was confusing as to which buttons I'd selected but I personally hate doing UI and I know it can be pretty hard to get feeling natural! Also, sometimes I thought I had enough resource to get ants and it wouldn't let me so I'm not sure if I was missing something or it was a bug.

I really like the exploration and pathing of the ants with their trails and the camera tracking was a very nice touch. I think it would have been nice to be abble to zoom out a little further just to be able to see around the anthill more, especially since some of the harvest options sometimes ended up underneath the UI at the bottom.

The days (and game overall) is quite long so I think a fast forward button might have been nice for whilst waiting for ants/resources to come in.

The music was relaxing and the graphics were very nice. It was very satisfying the see the paths created and fade out and the resources appearing and disappearing. Overall, a really original game and a great atmosphere. Amazing entry, well done!

I love the realism of having the explorer ant leave a trail for the worker ants to follow!

It took me a minute to get a grasp of the mechanics. I couldn't figure out how to get my ants to gather a path, for me at least that was a bit unintuitive. I think having the tutorial be accessible from in game and not just from the menu would have been helpful!

I love this interpretation of the theme too, ants are awesome!

My only gripe was that the explorer ants got stuck from time to time and if I wasn't paying attention to them at the time they would die on their journey without ever notifying me
Otherwise really nice jam game! Most important thing was that I was having fun when the explorers weren't dying of starvation whilst trying to move through a rock or a stick
