Eat your fruits by aduermael
https://youtu.be/Gu9vQqUJAYg
Fast-paced FPS where you punch trees to harvest fruits and throw them at others.
How to play
- You can play directly within your browser (Chrome, Firefox). You can also install Cubzh (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android), but direct link won't work in that case, you'll need to search "LD52" or "Eat your fruits" (game by aduermael).
- It's a multiplayer game, so while you can visit the map on your own, use the same link to invite friends.
- Punch trees for fruits to fall, collect them
- Throw them at others
- Player with most kills at the end of the round wins
Controls
- QSWD (move forward/backward/sideways)
- Move mouse to look around
- Space bar to jump
- Left click to shoot (or punch when you don't have fruits)
- Right click to punch
Tech
- Developed in Lua with Cubzh (engine currently in Alpha)
- Used a few public modules (explode, particles, multi, uikit)
- All sounds are platform SFX (opted-out in Audio)
Graphics
- All items have been created with Cubzh (apples) & Magicavoxel (map)
- Trees, grass and small rocks are created by code.
- ⚠️ avatars are from the Cubzh platform, they should not be considered

The Cubzh platform is super young, there are only servers for multiplayer only in Europe so far, may explain network lag.
Would love to see this as a full game in the future!
BTW: All the code is in one file?? XD That is very interesting, again good job :)
Yes, the code is in one file, and you can only do one file anyway in Cubzh for now... 😅
I created a proper repo to add both models I created (apple + map), trees are done by code: https://github.com/aduermael/ld52
The controls are a bit unsatisfying. It's very hard to jump around as your horizontal speed is really high. Just climbing up the stairs from the bottom of the map, took many tries, even after playing for a bit.
Theme is stretched.
But good entry.
Great job!
