A refreshing take on actually preventing a harvest, I like it!

Fun to play ! i appreciate the gameplay, the camera witch between forward and backward is tricky. but the mechanic is good !

I saved the world successfully. I think it would be good to despawn the bullets after some distance from the player, because I was able to abuse that they exist infinitely and kill enemies I didn't even see on the screen. I like your take on the theme! :)

Wow, I finally managed to win! I like the concept which recalls old two-way shoot'em ups, like Fantasy Zone. It's a bit difficult, especially because all the shots are straight towards you, and we have few errors allowed. I haven't had much success using the tractor beam. Good game ! I'd be curious to see what it would look like with more balancing and waves of enemies.

@killrane Hey someone else has played Fantasy Zone, it was totally the main influence for the gameplay. I appreciate the feedback on difficulty, but since there is only a couple of minutes of content, we figure we should draw it out a bit with some challenge.

@terylangosh I think I did add a lifetime to the bullets but clearly it was too long. Thanks for playing!

Graphically and mechanically quite polished, the camera is a bit funny how it changes direction which makes sense but still a bit disorientating, I did find myself just gunning down the ships over trying to save them with my beam, a bit hard to do both at once but a good all round experience overall.

Cool game. It's not convenient that the camera switches when you want to fly in the other direction. The idea with the collection is interesting =)

@beats haha, the tractor beam is too hard for me, too. Thanks for playing our game :)

Neat idea! Cool graphics that contrast the muted foreground silhouette. Saving the townspeople from the smaller ships' tractor beams is fun. It's also really satisfying to bring down the motherships and see them burning in the background for the rest of the game. The player ship's design is cool. I also really like the stages of damage that each ship has, where they spew more and more flames until they finally explode and come crashing down. Great job on your game!

Fun idea for the theme! I was gravitated towards playing your game due to the alien spaceship concept like one of those puny humans caught in the tractor beam. Also, I really enjoyed comic book style art aesthetic. Great work!

Fun little arcade game. I wish I has some healing option, maybe after shoting down the bigger ship. I love the idea of catching humans falling from alien ships mid-air but it is hard to do. Overall, nice game.

The art style and sound were very cohesive and I like that it was super easy to jump into this game. I also liked the challenge, oh and it was super challenging. The only things I wish this game had were more upgrades for shooting (maybe there were some I just suck and didn't make it far enough). I also wish the game death screen told me how many aliens I slayed.

The difficulty is quite high, and I'm not a fan of the way the camera moves, but overall a pretty solid game.

Sadly there was only me to save earth, and I naturally failed. But anyway a fun little game. Well done.

The game has lots of charm and is a fun quick shooter. As others have said, the camera pan when turning the ship around is quite jarring. I found that avoiding the need to turn around made it easier to finish the game :)

Besides the camera issues, one thing I'd point out is that I feel the end screen should display how many people you kept alive (because otherwise it doesn't make much difference if you try to save them all or not)

Cool game! I liked the graphics and I really enjoyed the music that played during the level (I saw you opted out of audio so I assume you didn't make it but it's still a great choice!)
Gameplay was fun - it took me a few tries but it was satisfying to finish. A few issues I had:
1. Camera was too sensitive - it was hard to maneuver around the enemies because my camera went berserk every time I tried to avoid their missiles.
2. The alien ufos sometime come down by surprise and kill me immediately. There should maybe be a few seconds of "invulnerability" when they first appear to allow me to see where they are coming from.
3. You can also cheese the enemies by approaching them super slowly and shooting constantly - I noticed this way I kill them before they even appear on the screen and they never shoot at me :)
4. I wasn't sure what I was supposed to use the tractor beam for - there was never a situation where I had to pick up the humans.

Thank you for making the game, I enjoyed playing it!
