*Sorry for the build issues, everything works now, enjoy harvesting Uranus *

Yes, you got that right.

Description

This game is about suffering. And madness. You have to be insane to choose extra-hydroponics out of hundreds of professions. But it's already happened, so enjoy:

You plant toxic plants. Haha, yes, you got that right. These plants are forbidden on every planet in the solar system except this abandoned frozen desert you settled on. And they are forbidden not because of the effects they produce, but because of the vile behavior that makes people dull bastards and plunges them into a midlife crisis.

Your job is to raise these assholes, cut them down with a plasma katana and send them off to a monopoly that will discount you one or two packs of craps, substrates and a few rolls of toilet paper.

Sad? NO! You love your job because it's the only place where you can liken yourself to a god and grow life with a water cannon and then take it away in a blaze of fire.

Your Task

  • Plant three kinds of plants (green, yellow, or red) using seeds
  • Water the plant to make it grow
  • Have time to cut it down before it goes crazy!
  • Save your ass from the seed hunters

If you missed something and the tree has already sprouted, try finding a flamethrower at the base

Good luck! And have Uranus finally harvested!

@torban @blue-pin-studio @jeff-chiu Sorry about that! There seemed to be some problem with the hosting, it should be fine now, ,could you please give it another try? We also managed to rebuild it for WebGL and it works quite well in fullscreen.

Nice graphics !
I had some issue understanding the game and I didn't know where to found ennemies or plantations

Ok, when the plants started yelling at me I literally loled. Took a second to figure it out. Hilarious game. Also nice graphics and item system.

I liked the world building / setting a lot - the flavour text, graphics in the base, the way the harvesters come and grab the crop when you cut it down, the beasties, and the way the game mechanism(s) worked alongside that. I also liked the variety of gameplay - having to water plants and balance that with actually planting, and defending the base (while not killing the plants), chopping them down, all with different items.

One big thing for me though was all the insult text. Not my sense of humour, but also gameplay wise it hid the status text of the plants and it was really hard to figure out what was going on (especially with the beasiest running at you). It was almost a fluke that I managed to harvest a plant. IMO it would have been better with everything being graphical... like a progress bar at the bottom, and only having 1 status not 5.

Great mechanics and ideas, (swapping tools, defending the plants, needing to tend the plants). But I found it a bit hard in a sense that I did not know what to do really. The items in the lab could have had some texts over them describing them (or their usage). The pixel graphics were also great, but one thing that was a tiny bit weird to me was the mix in resolution, I personally think it is better to stick to the same resolution on everything.

Awesome job!

That cover art is absolutely mind blowing. I wish I could do pixel art like that!

Really enjoyed the in-game art too, found the pace a little slow but the attention to detail was awesome. Also it was really nice having the controls in the corner of the screen, saved having to remind myself by scrolling down!
