The Pets Over The Innsmouth by 21st Century
Come and harvest cute souls! The Pets Over The Innsmouth is a short idle game with cute little creatures, named "C"s.
Oh, That would be hurt.
Click to smash meaningless mortals and get their souls.
Upgrade your table for survival, reproduction, and your own good.
Be careful not to kill too many of them. They can't self fertilize.

I would say it was hard to tell when the creatures were close to death and I didn't know what to buy in order to get them to reproduce. Maybe increase how many creatures you start with, or increase how long they live as I felt they died rather quickly.
Apart from that I enjoyed your game :)
The colony took a lot of time to start. Maybe the daynight cycle is a little bit too long
But it takes a while to make actual progress or maybe it's just me
The gameplay is also so fun! I really feel like I'm Mr. Octopus himself, watching over these little critters and giving them all the gatorade, berries and sleepy tents they need. And then collecting my well-deserved souls of course! Scrumptious laid-back game. Was a really nice game all-throughout. Thanks team, great job!
Some buggies/issues: The creatures would often try to enter tents that were already full, walking between them while ignoring the ones that weren't occupied yet. When you splat them while sleeping, the ones that are sleeping nearby were fleeing while still sleeping. One time one fell off the map at the top and I wasn't able to collect the soul.
It was a little difficult to figure out the exact rules, and I'm not sure I actually did understand but it worked for me... :-)
I was kiling them without understanding lol
I love this game
However, the simulation part is kinda made me anxious because these "C"s sometimes cannot find a tent to sleep by themselves even if I end up built so many tents that nearly filled the sceen. It means that the outcome of my investment is kinda... random? Well, there could be some randomness in game and it can be fun, but when these "C" dies, no obvious signals are given, like a symbolic sound effect? so I have to stare at the screen all the time if I do not want to have any loss due to randomness, and sometimes it's frustrating. But the game content is not that rich for me to stare at it all the time and just wait for a transparent soul coming out.
But for a 72h jam work it is good enough and core gameplay is fun! If there's further development, more details can be added. And a more complex activities logic of these cute "C"s can make this game much more interesting to play! Thank you for your work!
Thanks for meticulous feedback!
Congratulations.

There are minor technical nitpicks: Wrong z-ordering of sprites is unfortunate. I wouldn't put the exit button so prominently near other gameplay buttons (Was not sure what this button was for). And this would be a perfect game to keep running in the background, so I'd not pause the game on lost window focus.
Gameplay wise it's very simple, but just takes a lot of time. Fortunately the cute minions make this still an enjoyable process. Feels like a cool tamagotchi simulation.
Well done folks and thanks for the game!
The music fit perfectly.
But the gameplay is really hard. I feel like we don't win enough souls when killing Cs. And since I can't tell when one of them is gonna die, it is hard to keep a good amount of C.
By the way I don't know why but your game is 3go big. Maybe because of the images.
Sound and game play are also very fun and arw very well fitting.
I think you also nailed the theme. Harvesting my little souls was very pleasing
Keep up the good work!

Great Work!
but this game keeps you absorbed because of the fantastic art holding the whole game, great work on that!
I don't know when and why I should kill them.
Only minor issue is that it took me a few minutes to realize I need to click again to harvest the souls after I kill the creatures. Maybe would've been better for that to be automatic?
i love the cute graphics, the sound design is nice and fun (i can't stop crushing!), the gameplay is simple to understand.
Well done !
like the intro and outro, all over the storyline.
the combination of BGM and artwork are great:)
Good work
And, I also didn't expect it to be such a huge game, when the zip file is 179M, and became almost 4G after extraction.
