Game was pretty short but the sound design was exceptionally good.

I find this type of games very relaxing and nostalgic. I wish it could be longer, but it's a great beggining ;)

@futuregamer25 , @diana-shuke we have planned 4 levels originally, one for each season, we descoped 2 in the very beginning and ended up completing only one unfortunately.

Short and simple. After the last comment, now I get what the developers meant with "seasonal". You can add a reward for catching all the collectables (and obviously complete the other 3 levels).

I also got stuck in the hole and somehow landed on the last bug without killing them and just rode them around. lol. I think the water drops could have been a tad bigger or maybe a different color to add some more dimension. Overall though, I loved the concept of the sad potato and am a big fan of clean platformers like this. Way to go!

Nice graphics (but droplets could be larger and there could be some highlight of the selected element in the menu) and sound, good job. However, the movement is not great, it feels sluggish and unsatisfying. Unfortunately getting movement right is crucial in platformers, so the game is not fun at the current state. Enemies are bugged I think, they don't hurt me at all. Also the level is too easy, I can ignore most of the droplets and finish it anyway.

I hope the feedback is helpful, sorry if it feels to harsh.

Unexpectedly short conclusion to the lvl. Had some frustrating jump sections when I took the right most path. I acknowledged that I had a slowly decreasing bar and that the small pickups barely restored some of it, never actually tried to let it reach to 0 as I had plenty of my bar left when i reached the end point. I'm a sucker for pixel art and I think it's alright that You decided to go with a blue hue only theme in the style of an old Gameboy game. The jumping felt floating and our character slid through the floor which is a dangerous element when we're developing a platformer.

@adam-konig @dod108 we will definetely increase the size of the water drops then!
The idea was that 4 seasons have their distinct color theme, all monochrome, so thats why the drop blends in, but yeah, maybe it would need some more highlight.

@dod108 it does not feel harsh, it is really constructive, thanks! And you are right about all of these I think.

@bearacus thanks for the detailed feedback! When you say the blue hue is alright, do you mean that you would have liked an aesthetic that has more color variation?

I like this art style and the audio matches it perfectly! The music is really atmospheric and is reminiscent of the Majula area in Dark Souls 2. The subtle walking/jumping sounds are really good. Bouncing off an enemy is always satisfying. The parallax background effect is well done and gives a nice sense of scale to the level. You guys did a great job getting this done - nice jam submission!

Short little platformer. The music and art style definitely led to a bleak atmosphere which one would expect from the concept. I would've liked a bit more contrast between the background and water droplets and for the droplets to be a bit larger just to make them more visible.

The movement definitely could've been a bit tighter however.

The game was short but the music was great. There could be some better differentiation between the UI and the background since both are blueish it was hard to see. Also i didn't understand what the point of collecting the ice drop was. It seems when you get to the flag at the end of the ice level thats all there is. Is that the case?

Also the jumpy felt too floaty and the movement too slow. Overall the art was good just need some color or distinct differentiation as everything was too much the same color.

- Doesn't load on Firefox, does run in Chrome.
- Controls feel a bit floaty
- I really liked the atmosphere and background music.

@rocktavious yes, there is only one level that made it into the game (we wanted 4).
