The only negative point I see is the chatacter is walking too slow, so the start and end of a level is long, but overall, very good game!!
Good job!:D
@realtanhen Yes, I realised that while playtesting but we did not have enough time to include some sort of preview of the level :(
@juzdepeche Thanks haha! We found the name before I had time to compose the music so 'tiring job' instantly made me think of a blues (also it's really simple to write).
We did think of speeding up the farmer at the end of both phases but it didn't seem core enough so we chose to focus on other things.
@diana-shuke Thank you so much, that's a very nice comment!
@milq @jaywoody Gotta admit we didn't even think of a dynamic camera to follow crops or seeds that would have flown out of bounds ^^'
@cutesquirrel @wizorbe @mrchickenboy Even if we didn't totally mean to make such weird-feeling physics we were pretty satisfied with the thing. Although, the seeds being mixed-up inside the bag was kind of meant: it appeared to us it would be fun ^^'
Gotta admit that after spending the whole weekend playing with the physics, it felt pretty natural. I guess it made me underestimate how difficult it is to take a grasp on it while designing the levels. I'm sorry for that!
Glad you still liked the game, thanks!
It was hard and strangely addictive with all that finicky and precise manipulation that even the smallest mistake can send your crop flying on escape velocity
Great job!
Fantastic job on this, the art and music were great -the idea was great too and well designed! Awesome job! :D
I agree that the farmer could walk faster at the beginning/end but I feel like maybe that would have been hard to figure out the conditions of when that would kick in with veg flying about and not always in the basket. Might be an idea to stick a fast fwd button in there for the player to click which would cut out that thinking for you to code in jam but still let the player skip ahead.
Graphics were super cute and the simple style worked well for the game. Loved the way the colours stood out from each other and the contrasting veg colours. The only thing that distracted a bit for me was the pixelated lines/edges on the farmers which I think took away a little from the polish of the rest of the graphics and would probably have been worth investing some time into given that he was a main focus but I can totally understand that it may not have been possible with jam time pressures!
Music was real chill too with good variation and the sound effects being very reactive to the player interaction made it very satisfying!
Overall, love the atmosphere and the vibe, a really great jam game with a couple of very minor things that could be smoothed out. Awesome job!
