The Hungry Hungry Horde Hunts for Humans!!

Select your zombies with Left Click (or drag left click for group selection) Then move them with Right Click. Collect Brains by digging graves and killing humans. Increase your horde by infecting humans without killing them. Make sure to really damage them, or else they might be cured! But be careful, for Zombies are hurt by humans or when not under a shadow.

Walked around the graveyard but I didn't find any human.

I am doing something wrong?

@sean-spiggle did you select the zombie before clicking to move? Left click to select, right click to move.

I dug around for a bit but only found a shovel and some swords.
Nice art tho!

It's really satisfying especially when I collect quite big army of zombies. Good job!

It's pretty fun - hurray for tool-using zombies! I got a little frustrated when I split my horde and couldn't easily get back to zombies that scrolled off screen. Could use a goal and/or a bit more threat from the humans, but it's a fun idea.

I couldn't figure out how to covert a human into a zombie, his health either got low and then recovered or he just died, but either way I had fun with my one mega zombie!

Great submission!

I really like this concecpt and had a lot of fun building my little zombie army! Nice mechanic and a clever spin on the theme. You get a nice sense of improvement as you build up your army, are able to dig up graves faster, and take on humans quicker.

Although I did manage to grow my army, I never ended up getting a real "feel" for when humans are infected and would stay that way. Sometimes I was sure I got them but they'd end up being cured. I also got to a point where there are no more gravestones or shadows, just people randomly popping up.

Neat idea that I could see being a full game with a few more obstacles and variables if you decide to expand on it after the jam.

Took me a while before people would show up but it was nice gathering the zombi army even I never felt like I really could understand when they would turn and wouldn't. Wish there were some more variations and things to change it up but great job getting all this done in time for the jam!

Cool game idea! This is the only RTS I've played so far, out of quite a few entries. I like that you can get brains by either digging or fighting, so you can adjust your strategy depending on the horde's health at the time. The takeover mechanic is pretty fun, too, especially when you've got a big horde and you have to be careful to not do too much damage. The cloud/shade system is fun too, and something I haven't seen in other zombie games. Also, I didn't even notice the melee weapons until @knatterton mentioned it above, but that's a great idea!

It didn't feel like the current version had enough challenge to be engaging. I would've liked to see some humans that were armed making it a bit more difficult to expand your horde, or maybe others that were moving faster so you'd have to plan your horde movement better to be able to catch them (unless they show up later in the game and I just didn't get to that point).

On the other hand, I feel like this could be quite interesting game if it was explored/expanded more as the idea of controlling ever-growing horde does sound fun.

Nice little RTS game. Took me a while to understand how to convert the humans (I was killing them with my single zombie for a couple of minutes). Getting a big horde is fun. Well done.
