My first attempt at Ludum Dare, a simple ASCII farming game.
- Mow grass
- Cultivate farmland
- Plant seeds
- Harvest props
- Repeat

In the game, it wasn't obvious to me at first that time was going up. Now I realize I have mismanaged my field and need to wait a long time for anything to happen! Is there an end game or score goal, or is this more of a toy / simulation?
Might evolve into something more playable in the future...
I think the board has a really nice aesthetic, and the UI is really slick and clean.
You could use this as a really good basis for a browser-based board game!
Ascii art is the first programmer art, right ?
Since there was not really a goal to the game, I guess I would see this game more as a simulator. But I remember my first Ludum Dare and this is great job here ! :)
Love its simplicity. I could learn a thing or two about keeping ideas simple. Very effective game.
Edit: why can't i rate your game? Did you opt out of ratings? 🤔

Very interesting concept! I like the idea of using both HTML elements and canvas for the game. The game is enjoyable and has potential for future improvements.
With an endgame goal/threat, it would actually have been the best farming simulator I've played this event. Wish tools/crops had hotkeys.
