I feel like ~~Arthur~~ Pomo just tricked me into machine learning my brain. A classic Pomo game where I play it once and feel like I can't do that much better than that, but the more I play the more I realize I can get a higher score. The game loop is tight and the sounds effects (PoP) and voice are great. It escalates very quickly, it possible that could be slowed a little bit (I did skip the tutorial so that might effect my opinion). It feels like it can introduce a new fish and before I ever see a bad fish of it's type it's already introduced yet another new fish. Not good for early play but maybe works fine for once you've gotten better at it.

Interesting little game. I'm really bad at it, but it's well made.

A bit tricky for someone who spent 3 days staring at the code to distinguish the fish, but it's fun and challenging. Pacing is a bit slow, but I sure love voice acting so much so that I intentionally popped few good fish just to hear the voice lines.

It has a cool gameplay loop. I like it.

Nice and relaxing gameplay, I really like leaderboard mechanics.

Very good game, audio lines are funny. It is challenging, fish can become very difficult to distinguish when alot of fish spawn. Still very fun, very much a "one more try" kinda of game. Well done!

Hello I killed some bad fish.

Simple game, highscore mode, did it for me. You had me at the headless fish lol. Music got a bit repetitive but idc, thanks for the submission, will grind highscore later!

Was a fun little game, it switched from peace to stress without me realizing until it was too late lol
The leaderboard addition was really nice.
The violent stab animation was 10/10.

I played on an ultra-widescreen and it had weird bars on the side that did the same effect when you clip out of bounds. Not taking any points for that just wanted to toss it out there so you are aware for future projects.

if only I had more cursors - beautiful game - got gradually more demanding, and I got better at recognizing fish from evil fish; a skill I'm sure will come in handy one day.

Superb work on the music and sound effects btw. I can't have been the only one tapping the melody of All of Me inbetween stabbing fish.

A fun idea that I'm truly awful at playing - an evolution on spot the difference. I feel like I would have enjoyed it more if it had a different theme - killing the fish felt unreasobly mean. I realise that that's ridiculously hypocritical if you look at my game.

Overall a very fun game that starts out fairly easy but quickly spirals out of control as more and more fish get thrown onto the pile of things that you have to remember. Music compliments the game really well and the fact each fish has a different main thing that differentiates it (hue, mouth, gills, etc.) makes the gameplay of spotting the different fish not get old. Definitely gives the feeling of continually wanting to play one more round so you can try to get to the top of the leaderboard. Well done :)

edit - forgot to mention but the voice acting is also great and also compliments the vibes of the game really well

Hey, that was fun! The difficulty curve is spot on, and the game feels extremely polished so very well done there! If I had one suggestion, it would be to randomise which one was the "kill" and which one was the "spare" on each run so you couldn't rely on your memory from the previous run. Very well done though!

Remarkably simple but still appeals to my pride enough to keep me coming back to try to get a high score. Implementing a leaderboard was definitely a great call, as it really make you feel competitive. Voice clips were a fun touch. Had me staring without blinking for so long that I actually shed a tear while playing. =P

Fun game and well balanced in difficulty. It's easy to understand yet interesting to play. Also fun (?) fact : just replace fishes by pictures of people and you get one of the most inappropriate game ever made.

I like the game, it's a nice idea, it gets pretty hard pretty quick, but it's fine tbh, the only thing i think def should be improved is the UI, it's kinda lacking in my opinion, but well it's a jam game, you never have time to polish everything so it's understandable

I think you've figured out the next captcha. Or maybe, reverse captcha ... because the later fish definitely get tough and I feel like a machine would do a better job than I did. But it was still a lot of fun to grind. The different fishes are straight lunacy, love it!

This is a really clever idea and I like that there's online leaderboards. In general it just felt really polished and well-realised. But it was just too stressful for me to have more than a couple of attempts!

This one is fun! I haven't seen many games this jam with an emphasis on memorization and identification like this. I like how complex it becomes after just a minute or two. Definitely a great challenge, and it's easy to get into and intuitive to play. Great work! :)

Wow this gets pretty hard! Managed to get a score of 75 but damn does it get stressful once you have a lot of fish chaotically swimming around. I like the funny designs of the fish. Very creative haha!

This is very simple game bnt voice acting was really funny. Good game!

A simple premise that quickly spirals into chaos - visuals, sounds, and humour were on spot!

Just click the fish, how hard could that be? Simple concept that gets hectic real quick. I started giving the fish names to help remember them :laughing: The music fits the game really well. Only criticism is that when you click fish that overlap, it prioritizes the one behind. Great job!

One of my favorite games I've played so far and a great take on the identification game!

I love the variety of fish and how they are the same between playthroughs, giving it an interesting kind of skill progression that you don't see that often.

The one thing I noticed that drags the game down somewhat is that the order in which fish responds to clicks is not necessarily the visual order, making it easy to click on the correct fish but have the game think you clicked on the wrong one.

Definitely one I'll be coming back to!

41 first time, 40 second time... I think I've hit my "level", clearly worse than most other people haha. I didn't do the tutorial, but picked it up quick. The harpoon animation was nice and it was good to spot the difference. I found the first fish a lot easier to identify than the later weird fish. I think the speed it came on towards end meant I didn't really have time to actually understand the difference. Also the later fish, like the green face one, neither one looked "wrong", so was hard to remember in the moment which was the bad one. I liked the special appearance of a special boy too! very accessible, easy to play, and good highscore game.

Good music, sound. But it's a bit hard to differentiate between the good and bad fishes.

I clicked on the fish! :fish: This was a concept that sounded simple and easy when at first, but quickly got out of hand as more fish were introduced, which I loved. I also loved the surreal, unsettling designs for each fish; very creative!

A really interesting twist on spot the difference style games! The subtle fish difference was a really well done. The music is silly and fitting. The voice overs add a nice quirky touch to the game. Definitely had to make up strategies for how to distinguish everything apart. The leaderboard is so effective at getting you to try again and again! Nice job!

Pomo made another difficult game... Really liked this one tho! It felt a bit like the old spot the difference games but with a time limit as the difference would swim out of the screen if you didn't hurry.

As I mentioned earlier, I would love to see which fish you missed in the end, or maybe an overview of the good and bad fish (in the menu) so you can spend a bit of time looking at them before playing

This game was pretty cool. It got really a bit overwhelming when my screen got filled with fish and I was trying to only kill the bad ones but it was pretty fun trying to remember the differences.
