Harvey the Harvester by Simone
Help Harvey harvesting his unwilling crops!
For this Jam I decided to move away from the 3D modelling that actually brought me to computer gaming and I moved to 2D. This game is very well inspired from titles like "Slay the spire".
Unfortunately, when it comes to drawing I have 2 left hands and I can't really draw anything decent. At the same time, I wanted something nice to look at, therefore I resolved to use a local instance of stable diffusion and GIMP. The combination of the two proved to be extremely powerful, allowing me to generate an incredible amount of high quality assets in a very small amount of time.

How to play:
Drag and drop the cards on the enemy.
You can play 3 cards, then you will have to pass your turn.
Below the enemy you can see what will be their next action (either attack, or get some shield).
Player shield is preserved over the different encounters, use it at your advantage.
Good luck for harvesting all the evil vegetables.
Tool used:
Unity
Gimp2
Stable Diffusion

I am not sure if the damage count was buggy or maybe i misunderstood the rules.
I've honestly not played many card games but this was pretty damn fun to play!
I loved getting my 11 damage card and just destroying the enemies hahaha
It does get a bit easy tho since the shields persist. All in all tho, for a game made in only a short period of time, solid entry!
Would love a bit more spice here, beyond just attacks and defense.
Thank you for this entry :D!
Congrats!
Music is solid and fitting.
Game mechanics is very standard, nothing special. But impressed you were able to implement it during a game jam! Still not well balanced, but I would not expect it to be in a jam (to much shield for player, too strong weapons, ...). Game mechanics do not fit the theme.
Overall a big game for a jam.
The visuals stand out ...
Talking about strat, I found no way to see my deck or the draw pile. Thus, I could not make a strategy and played cards on a whim, because there was no planning ahead.
Lastly, I gotta be honest. I don't see how this matches the theme. Like, okay, it's a card game with harvest themed art. But exchange the art with space ships, race cars or even emoji and there's no change.
A lot of potential in this game, keep it up!
