screenshot.png Command your robot (who is a chef) to cook delicious dishes for you customers (who also happen to be robots). But first, you have to get the required ingredients by sowing seeds and harvesting the fully-grown plants.

Harvest sim and cooking sim and rts as a genre mix is certainly unique, and definitely fun and hectic
God was it stressful

Nice take on the theme! Love that it's not just a farming sim but also has cooking and droids :) nice simple art style, although it would benefit from some decorations around. A few bugs and suggestions:

- In my first playthrough, after preparing the first meal the robot couldn't serve the dish. I clicked the serving area many times in many places: the robot got to the serving window, but didn't actually serve the meal. So, I guess there's a bug :)
- In my second playthrough the previous but seemed to have disappeared, but after serving a ton of meals the robot got stuck in the serving area and didn't respond to my commands. Another bug, I guess :)
- It seems really unnecessary to select the robot all the time (at the game start & after buying new seeds). Pretty much the only thing you do in the game is manipulate the robot, so you can just always keep him selected. Unless you add the option to buy new robots, but that's a whole new story :)
- Sometimes the robot responds poorly to the player's commands. E.g. when trying to grad the hoe, the robot sometimes moves towards it and stays really close but doesn't grab it, then you try to plow the land but it doesn't since it doesn't have the hoe! Then you realize he doesn't have the hoe, click on it again so he actually grabs it, then you click the land to be plowed and he still doesn't because the robot itself received the click (and did nothing with it) and not the land. All this gets really frustrating because the game itself is so fast-paced and everything is on a time. So, I'd say this "selecting/issuing orders" part of the UI needs some more work. Maybe e.g. the selected objects should be highlighted, that would make a huge difference already.

I like the idea and the theme is definitivly met. But unfortunately my runs always ends with softlocking myself. In the 3rd run I thought it was my fault because first by then I noticed: the robot can become de-/activated with left-click. But also that one ended with softlock ^^.

The game idea itself is very interessting and it was fun to play until the robot got stuck. And except for that the controls worked pretty well for me.

Cool ideas here! I like the RTS-like controls where you need to select the bot and order it around. It might be fun in a future version to have multiple chefs you can assign to different tasks, or drag a box around them to select everyone and have them finish one task more quickly. I really like how you made the plants grow smoothly over time so you can tell exactly when they'll be ready to cook.

It was also a smart choice to make the player buy individual ingredients, so they need to plan out their menu in advance and make sure they have enough of each item on hand for incoming orders. If you happen to add more features later, I'd love to see a second or third prep station where you could be cooking multiple dishes at the same time (especially when you have 2-3 orders pending and nowhere to cook for a while). Great job on your finished game!

I find it funny that several people say it would be cool to have multiple chefs. Well, that was the original plan right from the start. Sadly I didn't make it in time 😅

Ah, for some reason my robot stopped moving when i clicked the counter twice. And sometimes when my robot was cocking and i bought new seeds the robot would then move to the corner where you buy the new seeds.

But aside from that very fun game. Especially for a compo entry this is well done. A few bugs here and there but with some work you'll take care of those.
Very cool entry. Good job. Keep it up.
