Cool Tower Defense. Really like the idea that enemies switch their paths. Well done.

This is nice casual little game, I'm really impressed by the pathing tech and how the game decides which path is optimal to take.
If this was given some more time to balance and tweak, I think it'd turn out quite addicting, as I found there wasn't much reason to buy much of anything besides a massive amount of corn corn as it was cheap and fast.
And because enemies spawned from only the top in a singular point, their shortest pathing becomes a bit redundant if you surround the top with crops, as they can hardly get anywhere.

But, minor niggles aside, this was a nice one to sit back and enjoy playing :)

A really neat concept well executed. It was tricky to build a working economy with how often the pathing updated, especially with the need to shift away from corn to the better plants.

In the beginning I thought that it was very annoying that there were multiple paths the enemies could take and that I had to protect multiple lanes. But as I realized that you have to harvest your plants to gain gold it came to me that this is the unique twist on the general TD genre. I really liked that idea, that you have to constantly rebuild your defence and adjust to the different paths. Also waiting for your plants to redeem themselves was great.

I think the music volume was too low, I had to crank my speakers all the way up, but the music itself was very relaxing.

Is this a pure HTML/JS game or did you use some engine/framework?

Only made it half through autumn. :leaves:

Had a lot of fun with this one. Caused me a lot of stress seeing the pathing change just as I was confident with my defense! A game to come back to for sure, great work!

Awesome! This was a great entry, possibly my favorite one of the jam and im 50~ games deep! If it wasnt for the comment above telling me i could sell my towers i would've rated it very low. Very nice! I managed to make it through the year with some rapid harvesting :D

I made it though the year ! I loved this game, simple but satisfying, and it get interesting as the crop are both your defence and your source of revenue, the player must be careful all along the game.
The placement also need careful planning, as the troop may change the path, we need to have every path at least a bit covered when adding new defenses.

The two minors downsides that I found:
- The popovers with the descriptions of the crops were sometimes going above the game, being annoying while placing some crops on the right side,
- I made it though the game with only corn and two coconuts trees, I tried the grape but it was a bit too slow to be really useful in my opinion ?

However very good game, well done !

I really liked the take on Tower defense where you get money from selling successful towers, it's fun ! The mood was really good with the different graphics / music for each season.
The interface confused me a little sometimes, but I had fun finishing the game !
Congratulations for your entry !

Wow! I never saw a TD game with this kind of mechanic before!
