This is very weirdly addicting

I was playing this last night before the compo officially ended. Simple but effective. I agree with @cryptic-wasp - definitely addicting. My girlfriend thought the goal was to give them haircuts. I don't know if that's what you were going for but I love that as the "story". Now to go give some more haircuts. :v:

This is amazing. The faces and sounds are so charming, and the pacing is great. The voice effects are perfect. Nice job making something simple but thoroughly enjoyable.

Simple fun little game! I'd say, one thing that might be worth considering is that I can wait for how many passes of the line I like before I attempt the cut and the game might be a bit more interesting if one gets a bonus for cutting on the first pass, or cutting on the first pass several times in a row might trigger a fantastic cut. Perhaps if one doesn't cut on any of the first three passes it's a fail too.

@mark-winter Actually, the broccoli has the same difficulty as the other fruits. It just has a smaller window, so the line moves slower as well. The line movement and the window to fit into are defined as ratios instead of hard-coded values. The actual implementation has the window be 1/3 of the full movement of the line. Glad you liked the game.

@local-minimum That is a good point, having a bonus for doing a successful cut sooner would be nice. Thanks for the comment.
